I would be genuinely surprised if this does anything but benefit him.

It will. He'll probably do a "live emergency stream" tomorrow giving all the dirty details, including reading out emails and pointing fingers. It'll probably go similar to how his Pittysgiving stream went where he could've filled a bath with all the money he got.

Okay so if this were almost any other person in this particular situation I’d say being banned from Twitch and demonetized to the floor on YT would be the end of them but given that this is Phil I’m not so sure. Do you think he’d be able to make it given how things are?

How does a ban on the only service bringing you money benefit you? Thats like my driver's license being suspended for 30 days for reckless driving and me saying "this benefits me." I doubt it. I think this shows that whatever happened(a report, a rack of reports, incessant nagging to twitch support, a steely eye admin taking a peek at his streams, etc.) he was suspended for the day. He can't shrug this off or swing wide of this. His only avenue of employment took a rock today. More to come...

I think he'll use it in his next fundraiser. I can just imagine him "The detractors dood, they tried to get me bahned but Twitch had a personal meeting about me and they decided I was too important."

Long run, this is terrible for him, IDK how long this stays on his record but I think Twitch has a 3 strike rule so he needs to be careful now.

But Phil doesn't think long-term, so in that way, I think it'll benefit him.

"work exclusively on my taxes and get them done" he rather build up more pity than shat out "Oh think I should be spending time with my girlfriend today guys"

he'll either 1) act as though nothing happened or 2) blame detractors . This suspension could snowball into a ban if he acts with twitch the same way he acted with Machinima
We already know what he's going to say tomorrow, I'm calling this shit right now:
"The ban didn't even affect me at all anyway. I wasn't planning on streaming so I could focus on my taxes, huhuh. So the trolls FAILED, like they always do. What fucking pathetic idiots."

"They keep trying to hurt my business in the same way they did with the false copyright strikes in 2015 that destroyed my YouTube channel. But guess what folks, I'm still here, after all this time. This will be 10 years I've been producing content, and I'm not going anywhere."

work on his taxes, what a bs. he is most likely reading KF right now and thinking about what story he will tell his cultmembers tomorrow.
BTW: hi philbert you disgusting piece of shit.

Long run, this is terrible for him, IDK how long this stays on his record but I think Twitch has a 3 strike rule so he needs to be careful now.

Keep in mind his account was likely already not in "good standing" because he couldn't even get emoticons instant-approved (which he should've been able to do given he was partnered).

Even if channels are mass reported? With which end of the process does he have experience?

If this report is over the fundraiser, could the difference this time be him "pushing subs as currency?" or whatever the rule is? Remember, last time he really shilled Paypal tips and Patreon pledges. But that was third-party stuff. "Direct" cash injections. Now he's playing with site-exclusive currency -- trying to funnel people towards a sub goal so he can pay real-world taxes.

I completely forgot about the olive branch lmfao. Is that still in effect? I wonder what Phil would say if asked.

What the fuck could he bitch about the Face of Twitch? He doesnt like the stache or something?
Was *very* upset to hear that DrDisrespect supposedly got $100,000 in donations upon his return to Twitch. Called the donors idiots. Nobody's worth that much etc. etc.

No matter what reason he actually got timed out for, I'm sure the reason he'll tell his fans is "duh detracters." If I had to guess I would say that Twitch staff popped into his channel (which they do a lot) and saw that he talks shit about everyone. His issues on youtube are not relevant to his stream on Twitch. Tevin doesn't even make videos about Phil that often and for Phil to say that ANY detractor who simply makes videos "harms" him is completely untrue. Those detractors are the reason he still exists as a streamer. If his career were based solely on his value as an entertainer and a gamer he would have died out with all of those minecraft and COD youtubers.

Anyway, it looks like Phil got the word from on high with the way he responded on twitter. I think whatever the ban reason was, he was so guilty he couldn't even try to deny it OR he knows it's just 1 day and decided to play it cool so he won't have to eat another.

I'm sure in light of the twitch's new ToS there were more people reporting him than usual itching to get a suspension or something

wuuuut, but I thought Twitch LOVED DSP and his pahsitivity :stress:

Amazon need to hurry up with their new Youtube competitor that's apparently a time machine to 2010/11 that will restore interest in Lets Play's and restore the King of Hate to his former glory..or something. I'd be surprised if DSP shits on Twitch while it's the only thing keeping him afloat, but then we've seen him do just that in the past, so I'm kinda optimistic.

wait, so Dr Disrespect cheated on his wife, took a month off..came back and was literally showered in donations to the tune of 100K? :story: I'm sure some detractor made a video of DSP triggered over this but I must have missed it, anyone have a link?

Any long term ban would make him go angry and nuts and start throwing accusations around wildly, can very well be that a admin peeked in just in time to see him talk about how he needs to do a fundraiser to save his house and how much he needs everyone to give him bits and cheers, but they have never really cared before so who knows?
