Okay how about if you pledge $5 or more on Patreon you get to pick the console. Then if you sub to twitch you get to pick the genre. Then whoever tips him $100 will get an empty game box mailed to them with DSP's signiture on a dirty napkin.
This is DSP we're talking about. You gotta milk them for all their worth. $5 bucks on Patreon to pick the console. $5 Twitch sub to pick the genre. Then you must tip 1000 bits to vote on a game. BUT you have to have first donated on Twitch/Patreon to pick the platform and the genre before being eligible to donate bits to vote on a game. Once the game is voted on, DSP's going to need at least $1250 to play the game. Cause think about it you've got Day 1 releases, he still hasn't finished his backlog, he's got fundraisers to do, taxes and bills he's gotta pay so $1250 will at least cover his time playing the game if it flops. Now, if you want to SEE him play the game it's gonna be $10 per person to access the stream, and $10 to chat. I know you guys are already subbed but anyone can pay a measly $5 bucks to sub. We gotta keep the haters out right? Don't want them to ruin the stream with negativity and trolling again, right? What if he gets SWATTED again? The dude's putting his life on the line every time he streams. Okay? And bits better be coming in regularly during gameplay otherwise "people lost interest" and he'll quit playing. Keep the stream positive and entertaining for DSP.
BUT let's be clear here. All of the donations and voting won't begin until March, but it'll keep going until the end of April, so everyone has plenty of time to vote. Then he's gotta email everybody, get everything together, compile/analyze the data, run background checks on all donators to make sure they aren't detractors, and he'll announce which game won in May. Yeah, I know, it's a lot shit to do. Exhausting even. I'm getting an adrenaline rush just thinking about it. But just because the game "won" doesn't mean he'll play it. Like if it's clearly a game that got "troll pledged" then fuck nah he ain't gonna play it. But he'll do something else, like wear a funny costume, or do a hardcore marathon for 2 hours. It'll be something big though, and better than whatever PewDiePie or those other dumbfucks shit out on a daily basis. I wouldn't know, I don't watch that trash.
So if everything goes to plan, the stars align, all is well with the cosmos and everything is picture perfect he'll probably get to the game in August. Now I know people might complain about that, but just here me out for one second, okay? Fuck off. Seriously. Fuck. Off. If you're a true and honest fan and enjoy the content you know the wait will be worth it. It's not about the money. It's about helping DSP out in his time of need, while he shares his experiences with us in return. And DSP always produces quality entertainment and he's already got a stacked schedule. So just be patient, cause the 6 month wait will be worth it.
One more thing though. People need to keep tipping, cheering, subbing, coming out for the streams and fundraisers in the meantime as well. The "Patron's Choice" is FAN SERVICE okay. What that means is if subs, tips, etc start dipping during this time then DSP will have to use the money from the "Patron's Choice" fund to cover his taxes, bills, any emergenREEEs that might come up etc. Meaning we still didn't hit the goal since it went to his bills and not to cover the costs of the special stream. Makes sense right? How can there be a "special stream" or a "Patron's choice" if DSP doesn't have a house to live in? Exactly. Had everyone just donated a $1 a month (along with tipping, donating, subbing, buying shit on Teespring, clicking all the ads, etc) YEARS ago we wouldn't be in the mess. But it is what is folks, nothing he could do about it.
