The silence over this is deafening, both from Greta orbiters and detractors. Seems like everyone's to afraid to publicly ask questions for now and even Greta's most ardent supporters aren't willing to cry foul.

The staff is definitely bloated but I think the number 16 is inflated to make TLL seem bigger and more substantial than what it really is. I’d guess at least half that staff gets token money. If they had 16 real people instead of 16 people on paper they could have the phones manned (trooned?) 24/7 or, at the very least, just keep normal business hours. And without Shrek and Pajeet stealing all the money, there would even be money to pay people.

The question is how donors are going to look at this. There's really no way to read it but that all that activity the ogre and his man bride have been posting to their social media the past couple years was paid for with stolen money. Are people going to expect actual results now? Are people going to expect actual results now? Will donors even buy the story that the board only became aware of this during the accreditation process? Even if something can be salvaged and new leadership put in place, it the TLL brand now tainted beyond repair?

They've pissed it freely into the wind on insane moonshot projects, fought legal battles, went on trips, smoked their brains out, and every account we have indicates they're serious impulse spenders.

My question is, without the teat of TLL to suckle at, where is their money going to come from? You cannot work a gig this long, leave with no references under a cloud of suspicion, and expect people won't have questions as to why your previous long term "job" has refrained from any comment on you professionally.

Rate it optimistic if you'd like, but if I were a gambling man? I'd wager they're overextended financially. I think this hit them unprepared, and that they do not have a solid plan as to what to do going forward, hence the silence. I think they've become too comfortable with being able to piss money away with absolutely no scrutiny or oversight, and I don't see them finding another TLL golden goose. That TLL existed at all and in a way that they could so freely exploit is a fluke, and I'm not certain it's a trick they can pull off again.

There's a phrase among con artists about the really elaborate scams: "It's a great show, but you can only do it once". This isn't the 60's anymore, you can't just float into a new town and try the same bit again with no record of your previous grift.

Another question is what this has cost them in social capital. Six months ago, everyone wanted to be their friend and many people wanted them to come visit during their travels. How many of those same people would welcome them now when there's really no upside to being associated with them?

Reading through the last few pages again, I can't help but wonder if the people at TLL weren't moving slowly and quietly to build evidence for this, and that's why it took so long even though we have such an extensive record of Kjel and Niraj's misdeeds.

As @Tragi-Chan and others have stated, Troonschwitz seemed very dependent on TLL funds, or at least credibility, to continue moving forward. With the word "legal" floating around TLL releases on this, I really hope that means criminal charges come from this. Optimistic ratings in bound, I know, but as others have stated, given what we DO know as outsiders, the rabbit hole must sink pretty deep about what wasn't visible publicly.

Between not only defending and empowering predators, embezzlement and misuse of funds, and openly threatening behavior, I'm sure something much worse is buried beneath it.

Who knows, maybe another caller offed themselves, and grieving family found a lawyer willing to go after TLL.

As for the comment someone made about stuff bought with TLL money technically being property of TLL, I really want there to be a push for it to be returned. Auctioning what can be salvaged off might help with immediate financial problems, like wages for August.

Greta is just way too visible and distinctive. If she was just some guy in a suit, she could probably move on to another con. The only way someone like her can make money of a con is by appealing to the more respectable trans community and its allies, which is what TLL was. But now if she tries anything, all eyes will be on her.

Actually it's kind of funny; Greta historically has been one to ruthlessly use outrage politics when able.
