this thread is tiny compared to others because indeed there's not all that much to discuss/laugh at.
additionally, i would be surprised if the amount of time any of us spend here, keeping up with twitter, and writing dumb jokes amounts to more than 2 or 3 minutes once every few days at most (i can say that for myself anyway). it only looks like a lot because there's a handful of us.

Katelyn, I think, you understand KF better than 99% of people who have threads here. You know that we're just weirdos who want to sit and laugh at idiots who make fools of themselves. We aren't a cabal secretly working to kill trans women. We're, more or less, harmless, barring any publically available 'secrets' we expose. There are hardly any cows on these boards I would want to stop producing milk.

Why not a wig though? I wonder this about quite a few of our trans-cows.
I get hair extensions are very expensive, but a decent wig is a one shot expense and can be quite affordable. Are wigs comfortable? Nope and hell no. But women in the 1950's and 60's wore them daily in the pursuit of the femme ideal without complaint, black women wear them all the time. Female beauty standards aren't easy to live up too as every woman can tell you. Also, women's shampoo commercials are a lie and involve lots of fake hair.
It appears passing or being read as female is important to your identity. A good wig would do more for you in that dept. than almost any other expenditure you could make and definitely the one that gets the most bang for your buck.
FYI: Tell your brigade of trans-outrage merchants they've done more to make cis women go TERF than the TERFs could have ever dreamed of doing.

Elbowing his way into women's-only spaces and thinking he fits in just fine, this guy is a prime example of a man who thinks men are better at everything, including being women. If he hadn't thrust himself into the public eye -- if he'd quietly transitioned and lived out his life as a happy woman of middle age -- we would simply never have heard of him. I have no sympathy.

That answers that question. It seemed weird that Burns would think that complaint would do anything useful but it also seemed weird that someone ELSE would try such a dumb trick without asking for permission first.
Yes, you're right. I was hurt and angry when I first came out and said some really shitty things about my wife and other family members that I now regret. I'm pretty sure I deleted that thread awhile ago.
But no, it wasn't selfish to transition in the first place. Spouses don't own each other.
If someone believes they're a woman I don't think it's fair to get mad if their straight wife doesn't want to stay married to them.

It sounds like your wife understood your desire to dress in women's clothes to be a fetish when you first brought it up to her. Later in life, when you tell her you're going to transition, it sounds like you're just dedicating your life to your fetish regardless of the consequences that decision would have for your family. Isn't it wild how someone with a family can suddenly announce that they're going to make a radical changes to their life, and that can affect other people besides themselves?
