ok i've done enough thinking on the issue: katelyn comes into her own thread railing on another troon who did something exceptional, proceeds to contribute to her own thread in a sane manner, and avoids all moralizing bait talking about bad parenting, and stands her ground, even if it is at the expense of treating us like human beings. i'll give credit where it's due and extend an olive branch, but wont be offended if she doesnt take it.

one thing you'll learn here, @JFC, is that we are a rather diverse bunch. lots of us have complicated views. we're not all "right wingers" who hate social progress, and not all of us like each other's jokes or the way we treat cows, especially when it comes to serious moralized hatred, because that's dumb.

i'm not sure if it'll happen, as it would probably negatively affect your public image, but if you were to be a regular here, and hung around in the beauty parlour or even ratking (in case there are some others in the community you cant stand), i bet you'd enjoy yourself, and we would probably even enjoy a few of your jokes since they'd be coming from a perspective that many of us dont have. if you made a new account and didnt out yourself though then it's possible your public image could remain clean.

@JFC, if you're still here, I have questions for you that don't have anything to do with your family or baldness. Do you have an opinion about Greta and Nina being asked to resign from Trans Lifeline? Do you know what others in the trans and trans-awareness communities think about it? I wonder if there are a lot of people who have strong anti-TLL opinions but are afraid even now to voice them because Greta is scary and because they fear community censure.

Also for what it's worth I think your participation in this thread has been measured and reasonable. The whole family issue aside, your thread really hasn't provided a lot of m.ilk, and until it reaches the salacious cow-ness seen in threads for more appalling trans-specimens like Eden Belmont and Terra Jones, I don't see revisiting this thread except to read your answers, should you choose to share reactions to the TLL news.

I know you want to hatewank to me but I first told my ex who I "really was" about three months after she became my girlfriend at age 19. When she asked me to never speak if it again, I went another 14 years before mentioning it again at her behest. I didn't steal shit and we're both happier now, not that I owe an explanation to some internet rando who didn't know who I was yesterday morning.

I've noticed that everything in your life is someone else's fault, usually a woman. Your wife is doing the right thing and not saying horrible shit about you online out of a respect for whatever relationship you have with your kids, I will never hear her side though I'm sure it's different than yours. You really don't get to say the kids are happier, they'll inform you when they are grown. You're right that you don't have to answer to strangers, but you're gonna have to answer to your kids when they grow up and find all the crazy shit you said like that it's all your wife's fault, "I'm a virgin single mum" and "my wife's pregnancy triggered me to troon out" and "I would do anything to feel period pain". If you didn't crave attention pathologically you would not share this kind of shit on a permanent format for your kids to discover later. You care more about asspats than other people.

Katelyn has a huge blind spot when it comes to her own actions, as if she is incapable of empathizing with anyone else when it comes to her transition. It's weird, because she has said some pretty thoughtful things (I was actually taken aback at some of the things she has said, such as about Laci Green and acknowledging that maybe sending allies crashing to the other side due to witch hunting was sort of a dumb strategy in the long run), but she seems to be incapable of turning that inspection on herself and her own actions. Perhaps it is too painful to do so, possibly because then she would have to acknowledge that Mistakes Were Made in how her deciding to be "trans" was handled (e.g. putting her sex life on blast, putting her rage at her wife on blast-- actually, why do almost all rat kings put their sex stuff on blast, I will never get that-- it's beyond disgusting. Anyway, we can't have acknoweldgement of fault when it comes to trans issues and how they relate to other people.
