It's not actually CP in the technical sense. It's a legal porn actress who got famous because she looks like she's 14-16 years old. There was no actual images of child pornography in the logs. The only topless photo was of that pornstar. The other pictures were of little girls in swimsuits that looked like they were from a department store catalog.

I wish I still had AIM screenshots that friends sent to me with this shit going on. Unfortunately without the screenshots/logs, I have no proof. It never occurred to me that it would be important to save them. There has to be someone out there who did hang on to AIM logs or text message records.

It is very likely then that your friends must've held on to these screenshots, if you have new ways to contact them, might be as good as time as any to see if they can dig them up.

Multiple people have said in this thread and in screenshots that cub stuff encourages pedophilia, but when you take that same logic and use it towards violence in games and movies it's different?

I've not so much seen the argument that cub art/etc. encourages pedophilia, however whenever the topic of whether or not it should be allowed comes up, I tend to see survivors of childhood sexual assault speak up and say that cub art and the like was used by their abuser to groom them.

So basically, people who're already pedophiles use the stuff to trick kids who don't know any better into feeling like what's happening to them is safe and okay. I don't believe it actually directly creates pedophiles, and, personally, I don't think that line of thought makes much sense, considering, as you said, violent games and such don't encourage violence. The person in question has to already be messed up before cub shit and anything related can do harm.

It's definitely a problem, but I don't feel it's one that can be blamed on the people who draw it (although I wouldn't mind it personally if cub stuff was just nuked out of existence tbh)

I don't really have much to say about Zaush other than I just really don't like the guy. He's easy enough to avoid (until things like this come up.) Also, this petition is absolutely exceptional and I remember seeing the same thing happen years back when he was on the Project Phoenix or whatever team. Nothing happened then, nothing'll happen now.

Yeah, that's a good point. I had the same idea of it being used to groom minors mulling around in my head but didn't know how to articulate it. I guess for me if I see someone that draws it or likes it I put them into a mental list of people to keep an eye on. It's not until they start doing predictable mental gymnastics or are shown to talk to/prey on known minors that I start warning others

With my zero experience as a sociologist my opinion is that the 'arousal' you get from being entertained from a video game, movie, television show, etc. varies greatly from sexual arousal. People tend to take significantly more risks when it comes to the latter as it's more physically and mentally satisfying. It's the added satisfaction that I feel like would drive people to actually act on these sexual fantasies.

On a similar note, Zaush tweeted this, trying to leverage a similar comparison. Which I'd argue that if you spend your time drawing, slobbering, and fantasizing over feral canine dicks, that you probably want to fuck dogs.

Morally it seems to be dependent on the victim in the scenario. A grown adult in a video game or movie killing other adults, regardless of how brutally, features a much more even playing field than a grown adult harming a child incapable of properly defending itself either physically or psychologically. You may be toeing a moral line in a fictional world either way, but assuming the "reality affects fiction" argument holds even remotely true, it's a lot easier to find and groom a child on the internet/in person (especially if you're a big name furry artist) and act out that "fantasy" than it is to shoot your way down a street Duke Nukem-style.

Edit: almost forgot to say that cub content, like any sexual fetish or paraphilia, was probably made to satisfy an urge that was already there. If you deliberately draw, commission, or seek out cub content, it's because you're into child bodies and are using fictional content to sate your desire for them. It's not that cub content makes pedos, but rather that pedos probably use cub content to get off and, for lack of a better word, normalize child bodies in sexual scenarios.

I think it more through the idea of who is more grounded in reality and who isn't, Zaush has shown that as a person he is not ground in reality if he is using that status of his to groom young female artists he wants and make up whatever he can to keep his followers under his foot.

fftopic: When it comes to violent video games, I have doubt in that because in the US, we are a country of violence before video games, movies, cartoons, and other bits of media became a thing, Americans got problems
