Out of curiosity, were you trolling, or were/are you a Phil fan? I'd just like to know a bit about the motives behind the people that have been burned by Phil and end up posting about it on here or Twitter.

Phil has long had a problem with mods that reverse his bans. I've wondered about this for a while, and BSV's recent talk about Phil's avoidance of conflict would explain it. Just recently Koztlaf (not sure how to spell it) was banned by Phil for 'regurgitating detractor memes'. The next day he shows up in chat. Janey or anony joke about how Kotzlaf won't stay dead and ask him how many time's he's been banned. I believe his answer was 14.

On Youtube, if you want to keep Nintendo from interfering with your Nintendo uploads, you have can join the 'Nintendo's Creator Program', and make only an insulting amount of money in return. But I've never heard of anyone being bothered by Nintendo on Twitch. If DSP streamed their games on Twitch he should be fine.

I know, and considering he says YT is becoming/is his secondary priority you'd think he'd just say fuck the consequences. He's just a weird little person really. Nothing he does makes sense. I mean why insult Nintendo in the first place? He could've just said he wasn't a fan of the announcements and he probably wouldn't play them, but he calls it a non-event. Considering how exceptional some Nintendo fanboys can be it's not a very smart decision to piss off a massive chunk of what could be potential viewers.

@EddyB43 , you might want to consider listening for audio-only tips in the prestreams when Phil does his shoutouts. I stopped by today and he got like $35-40 in tips (a $20, $10, and $5 for sure). Not major, but could be significant over the course of the month.

If by "insulting" you mean infinity times more than you would have made otherwise and on par with what you'd get from a low-end partnership, sure. But since low-end partnerships don't exist anymore... it's also infinity times more than you can make on a low-end partnership. So.

Yeah, 'insulting' was to aggressive and negative for what I meant. There's a Twitch streamer I follow who uploads bits of his Nintendo stuff to Youtube. I remember him mentioning getting his cut from Nintendo and joking about who it was a couple dollars. I should been clearer and meant more jokingly like that. It's not enough for DSP to relent and sign up. So, it'd still be 'insulting' to DSP, I guess :/

He's talked about how his condo was down the street from his parents. How they're close enough to have looked after his condo if not for their advanced age. We know how Phil needs to be taken care of. I've just assumed he bought whatever was available that was close to his parents.

Exactly why shoot the golden goose? If anything Nintendo have shown they are trying to great by making solid games kirby all stars for example is amazing and introduce new ways of streaming multiplayer. Nintendo fanboys can be like super autistic but most are just super loyal to brand like blizzard fans. E.g. Blizzard have multiple massive streamers and youtubers as do nintendo. Its like he honestly wants to die for example my pre order sheet came in to total; march - kirby all stars, detective pikachu - april nothing but most likely bayonetta 1 and 2 may dark souls and amibo lol - splatoon updatehyrule remaster- june mario tennis, november , brawl. Meanwhile april / march farcry 5 and god of war. Yes they are remasters but hey didnt have a wii u :p

To be honest if you're going to stream Nintendo products you might as well bite the bullet and upload through them. Making some money is better than no money right? Nintendo looks like they're going to kick ass this year so maybe he should hop on that bandwagon?

Maybe if he uploaded to Nintendo directly he would get more viewers that way? Mr business degree should look into these things.

I'm about 90% sure Amityville is a troll who seeks to actively drive away new fans. Phil banning someone for making a subjective observation is unremarkable, routine even. There's no reason to congratulate Philbert about it unless you're just mashing the positive reinforcement button to encourage further overreaction. It's a lot like the sub gifting mania that went on a while back, it inflated Philliam's sense of popularity and he even thought he could get to 600 subs.

You really don't need to archive this. It's well established how Amityville is toward Phil. Getting disgusted over this is like bringing up war crimes from the Thirty Year War and being exasperated. It's just not a big deal or a great revelation.
