Boogie / Boogie2988 / "Francis" / Steven Jason Williams - Fat, Rapidly Declining Divorced "Nice Guy" Middle-Aged Youtuber, Former Edgy Porn Blogger, lied about having cancer and being molested. Cohost of fake drama show "Lolcow Live (LCL)". Just WILL NOT die.

There is just a constant cycle of reacting badly, getting called out, overreacting, and getting called out. I'm fighting my cynical 3 quarters and wondering exactly what the solution to this is. I mean is he aware enough to understand this spiral, or he is just someone with seriously no way of grasping a way out? It's just such a predictable cycle. Own up, don't wallow, stop basically everything that you do, and just be a freaking man. Get help.

It's comfortable for him, and right up til the divorce he very likely never really felt any repercussions for never dealing with it. Because it's comfy and he's lazy, he might have convinced himself the divorce was a one-off, and he can continue to behave as normal with no problems.

And he can, since Hambly didn't/likely won't release the tapes. He got all the fun of screaming at the fat idiot and none of the flak for having done so. When he heard rumblings of people getting to hear unflattering material of him, he turned it back into an attack on him. And it worked.

Barring the divorce, he doesn't change because he keeps "winning" by behaving the way he does. And he's likely convinced himself the wife was the problem with the divorce in the first place.

There's a certain point where self deprecation needs to end and change needs to start. You can only say 'sorry' for so long until nobody wants to hear it anymore.

Ever the fat kid who keeps getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar, with an "I won't do it again, I promise!" right down to the very last cookie.

He does focus on himself though, it's why he's a habitual dwarf planet.
He thinks he's this enlightened person on youtube. He strives to be that fake, inoffensive guy for his audience, who will praise him for it. But it's just the exact opposite of his regular asshole personality. He can't actually strike a balance between the two. It's either Francis (anger problems) or Boogie (cuck). There is no middle ground, that's why he feels he needs two personas.

And I think it IS because he's selfish, but I meant that I don't think he should be trying to correct other people's flaws until he corrects his own.

At least make an effort to change. I think these days most people understand anxiety disorders and mental health issues are hard to deal with, but outside of tweeting about it to get sympathy, he never shows that he's doing any work to fix his issues. It's exactly like his weight loss, he does nothing and hopes that it will all get better magically.

I'm confused, I thought Boogie was an act, why do people buy into a morbidly obese man's pity parades. Wtf is going on here.

It's both.

Reddit people hate fat people that embrace "fat pride" and absolutely adore fat people that acknowledge that obesity is bad and advocate for good health. Same with mental health and "mental health".

Boogie milks that for all its worth for both money and attention.

We have reached peak soyface.

Also, the fact that this thread got more autistic and dumb ratings is very baffling to me, you can't tell me i should feel sorry for him if he's gonna use his fanbase emotions as an advantage to get more views and money while slowly killing himself.

Thread's older than fuck, and from the looks of it was started by someone who thought he was "really Francis". Now we know better, but I can imagine not having enough material to work with in 2014 where someone might look like a sperg trying to force a Boogie thread.

I remember back when the DaddyoFive drama was going on Boogie made a video just to talk about his childhood trauma/abuse because he figured it was (again) the right time to sperg about it.

I remember thinking it was really weird that he'd be using a situation like that to talk about himself too.

People on this forum still think DSP's character is himself and that he's a lolcow.

I think he doesn't even want to work on his mental health. He uses his depression, anxiety, trauma from abuse etc. so frequently to justify each and every shit. If he didn't have his mental health as an excuse, he'd have to face all the backlash without a shield and fully own up to his mistakes, without somehow making it look like he's the real victim here and deserves lots of pity and leniency.

And to be honest, we see him lying about stuff and twisting how things happened in order to appear as innocent victim so frequently, that I'm not sure if his mental health problems are even as bad as he says. It's such an awfully convenient excuse. He obviously has issues, his weight, lifestyle and behaviour all show that. But blaming anxiety, depression etc. compulsively for every single thing that goes wrong doesn't help to persuade you that he doesn't play it up and uses it to save face and make his accusers seem like the bad boys.

Exactly. He makes a mockery of people who are actually trying to better themselves in a legitimate way. "Boogie is my hero!" -Every Boogie2988 fan... Jesus Christ, I didn't know getting your stomach cut open made you a hero. At this point he might as well have the shit surgically removed.

This is exactly why he does it. One of the perks of being a perpetual victim is that nothing is ever your fault. Fail at something? Oh, my anxiety/depression/autism/PCOS kicked in and I literally had to eat an entire box of cookies to make it through the night! And then all of your friends will shower you with praise and attention for being so brave. Blech.

Victimhood has become such a comfortable place to live, people aren't just moving there, they're putting down roots and opening businesses.

I would say Boogie made it a cottage industry, but in his case he's the cottage.

"My mommy made me this way" is the one he most often brings up, it seems. A lot of people who have issues with taking personal responsibility for their personality and bad habits seem to do that.
