Phil pulled the whole girlfriend thing like a rabbit out of a hat. That's why people jumped on the escort thing. This girlfriend to justify keeping the house was way too convenient. If you think of it as a business transaction between the two of them then the extremely awkward reveal video makes sense. There is a reason why they aren't comfortable with each other.

That and Delta Airlines had a 4 1/2 hour delay on a SEA-ATL flight that could have made someone miss the last ATL-AMS flight for the day. That was the one detail I couldn’t get over. There’s no way batwoman could have known that flight was delayed and used it to as cover.
Remember, also, that the car manufacturer designed the car not to tell you how much gas you need.

Eh, I don't doubt Kat is a true and honest girlfriend. I still firmly believe she had a fucked up/shitty life situation and Phil seemed like a lucky find. They're awkward because they barely interacted before outside of the internet. There's no way he'd hire a fake girlfriend. Phil's a bit of an idiot but he knows damn well his shit always floats to the surface, he's constantly paranoid of people "fucking him over" aka revealing the truth about his behavior. He wouldn't go all Syngman REEE on his chat/forum/hugbox if he wasn't.
Not sure why it's so hard to believe Phil can pull a girlfriend. Yeah he's gross but people way more repulsive manage to breed all the time, and that's without a lavish credit-and-autism financed lifestyle to back them up.

I didn't doubt Phil could pull a chick. I doubted he could KEEP a chick who was smart enough to see a catastrophic train wreck in motion...
Plus I do find it weird that she won't be chipping in on paying the bills and such now that she's working. Couples normally help out with those kinds of things when they live together, especially since Phil already bought all that crap for her, AND she'll be using HIS car to go to work. That, their lack of chemistry, her behavior in the vlog, and the lack of her appearing more often on his Instagram and in streams makes me hesitant to believe they are a "happy" couple.

I concur. I doubt their relationship from the first photos. It feels like a partnership. It’s been 5 weeks, and let’s be honest. She’s can’t always be in her closet...office..playing over watch. She’s 27. She has a life. She must want to go out. Have a drink. See people. Socialize. I mean, I play games...football..softball...host dungeon and dragon and beer pong night at the house, but even I go out with my friends or fiancée to see friends. But she’s working now. She might convince Phil Begnell he needs to come out..see the world.. the Truman show is over.
