They think dropping old persona names is akin to troon deadnames or something.

This is ostensibly true but represents a massive failure to take responsibility. Slutpatch forwarded his dox to the financial journalism sites he wrote for and they deleted his account, but Casey was the one who left his real name on the nazi erotica he writes so you can't say it's anyone's fault but his.
