Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I think that would be another reason he'd include him in the comic.
Nah, I think he kinda-sorta knows that real-life people don't like being the villains in his comic. After all, he did famously apologize to Dean Walsh for putting her in as a witch. Besides which, all the way through 2010 Chris was still in denial and thought any day now, they could let bygones be bygones. Why rock the (tug)boat?

Why do so many people make retarded "What does Chris think about *INSERT OBSCURE BULLSHIT HERE*?" threads? There's like a new one once a week.
Chris thinks he can drive to Australia. He described the most destructive war in human history the same way he describes the plots of Sonic. He probably thought the whole world looked like giant, rural Virginia until high school. And he'd probably still think that if, by the grace of GodBearJesus, he hadn't become obsessed with his Spanish classes.

Unless something relates to one of his strange, narrow range of interests, Chris will not know about it or care enough to learn about it. Chris does not know or care about Anita Sarkeesian. Chris does not care about the Family Guy/ Simpsons crossover or Brian's death more than any of the other crap that he watches regularly. If Chris has strong thoughts on something, he will post about it on Facebook.

Yes but, what does Chris think about this post?

.

This just summed up how pathetic Chris is. Put that in the dictionary next to his picture.

didn't read the last few pages of this, but i was just reading the "kacey call 15 transcript" thread and someone important mentioned that barb trashed chris' room, pre-fire, to intimidate him. in this thread, marvin gave a hypothetical example of barb trashing chris' hypothetical laptop to get him to stop focusing on it.

i've known about chris since late 2007, but right now i can't for the life of me recall reading or hearing anything about barb actually rampaging, much less in his room. the only thing that would surprise me is that she'd have the energy to do so.

so, is this a "take my word for it" kind of thing? did this info get found out from one of those calls that will never be released, or just some really good guesswork?

Barb hates not getting her way. She's not above being a combative redneck IRL (q-sand incident). Same thing when she's alone with Chris, except she doesn't have an audience to judge her behavior, so she can be crazier and even more combative. Also, yeah, take my word for this.

@Marvin : Are you at liberty to discuss who the "close friends" Chris has been blabbing about lately are? Since Kim expressed surprise I guess she't not one of those involved with his latest... Whatever it is he's trying to do.

Cis-gendered? Chris has come out as C.I.G.-gendered, ladies and gentlemen.

*Chris Is Gay

The Emperor Protects (from the trolls).

I've noticed that Chris tends to use "nutshell" (for summary/summarize), as well as superfluous use of "full"/"fullest" a lot.

Also, just what does "haters to the left" mean? It seems really solipsistic.

Now that the store is closed, his attitude is probably different. Previously, he had two conflicting desires, firstly to be forgiven and readmitted to the store, secondly that Snyder be horribly punished for his crimes. He would have been willing to forgo the second to get the first.

I think it is hard to overestimate the importance of the GamePlace to Chris, with fairly legitimate reasons. It gave him a place to go and socialize with others who shared his slightly unusual interests. It was really the only consistent, meaningful IRL social contact he has had since he finished school. Since most of us have multiple sources of social contact, we probably do not have a place as important to us as that place was to him.

I am not saying he didn't deserve to be banned. But I definitely see why he was upset about it for so long.

How well is Chris's autism excuse working nowadays? He's this thirty-something who can leave the house unattended to perform errands. Are people still going to treat him with sympathy because of the autism, or are they going to begin holding him to a normal standard because as an adult he should know better?
