So, what the fuck is happening? The wizards are fighting some SJW? Shit, SJWs piss me off, but honestly, in the Wizard versus SJW race war I'm going to side with the tumblrites. They're less likely to be serial killers.

I'm going with the Wizards on this one. Apparently she cheated on her boyfriend, and I can't stand SJW hypocrisy when it comes to stuff like this.

Granted, if Tumblr gets its collective hands on this, it's going to be a huge shitstorm there as well. Is Zoe Quinn ~*an empowered, proud, and liberated womyn*~ for humiliating eeeevil white cis men, or is she a typical white cis woman who's taking away all the attention from proud womyn of color?

So, let me see if I've got this right. Zoe Quinn is an annoying little twit who made some mediocre game, Wizardchan got upset about it for no good reason, threw a bitchfit and now both sides are doing their damndest to try and seem like the bigger victim so as to look better than their opposition.
Glorious.

Summary:

  • Woman (Quinn) makes a flash based game (more of one of those text based choose your own adventure things) about battling depression

  • The game receives critical acclaim from gaming journalist websites, and makes its way onto Steam

  • Quinn's ex boyfriend releases chat logs about her cheating on him with various men

  • Some of these men are key players in gaming journalism, and are responsible for the positive press Quinn's game received

  • Mods of gaming forums including Reddit's /r/gaming, /r/Games and 4chan's /v/ are removing all traces of this drama. At least one mod from /r/gaming talked to Quinn on Twitter beforehand.
Bonus drama: All of her contact information is doxxed, she accuses 4chan. 4chan denies it claiming all the threads are being deleted so there was no way to organize it. Some people are accusing Quinn of doing it to herself to play the victim. She's faked similar harassments in the past using her "contacts".

Dunno if she's a good person or not, but the game's actually a pretty accurate depiction of depression. Whether or not she cheated on her boyfriend isn't really any of my business, the game could do some good so it kind of sucks seeing it get knocked off course this way.

I think this goes beyond her cheating over her boyfriend, the whole shitstorm is because she slept with the guy who reviewed her game and gave her positive press on Rock Paper Shotgun and Kotaku, and that is just a new low for gaming "journalism", and that's considering the fact that gaming "journalism" has been shit for a long time now.

No doubt a few Wizards involved are only focused on her cheating. They probably feel it gives their woman-hate more validation.

Holy shit. Even tumblr's throwing this chick to the wolves.

After reading up on the situation, if any of the accusations are true, yeah, this is kind of a big deal - not because of her, but because of the implications it has on gaming journalism. It's a joke as it is, but this will be the final nail in the coffin.

Perhaps the Wizards really do want to point fingers at us, thinking we are the one's that told Zoe Quinn about it. As much as it could of been a member, there is the fact that you could of had an SJW or some random anon inform her of Wizardchan.
