He's created a safe space for himself for so long where even the tiniest criticism gets permabans, that now he can't even handle tiny criticisms. The thing that gets him to sperg out the most these days is simply proving him wrong on something. I'm sure you've all noted that these days he doesn't even shit on the person then ban, he always makes sure the person can't respond first. If it's VR chat he mutes himself and runs off, if its his own chat he bans them first, if its the forums, he posts then insta locks, he flees the scene before shitting all over them. At least in 2013 he'd shit all over them to their face. He's become so used to a safe space he can't even handle counter arguments.

Keeping the chat really is detrimental to him. He thinks he's going in a good direction because he's currently getting a lot of money but Phil being Phil, doesn't think of the future or make plans for the future. The chat is unhealthy for him mentally because it inflates his ego and makes trolling him easily accessible which is a bad combo and will lead to bad shit in the future, and has lead to bad shit. By making the chat more "interactable" to him he's highlighting the bad parts of his personality more. There's a reason when before he started streaming he was just the shitty gamer guy, and now he's more known as the shitty person. But he's blinded by it because by streaming this way he's getting lots of money without realising it's making his reputation go in the stinker even more and opening more chances for him to be permabanned.

Phil got cited in another video.

Although, I don't think he'll be bragging about this one quite as much... LOL

>Being so bad at games even watchmojo talks shit about you

Phil, i think it's time

We know how much you hate leaving your house, so just look into it, all i'm saying

I don't have any reason to belive phil didn't have gout at some point. It's a typical old mans decease being young and getting it often is a product of eating really unhealthy and drinking heavily. It's not something you lie about. Because it is easy to avoid, he is the youngest person I have known with a case of it. It's not something you make up for sympathy. Because it is bad lifestyle choice that gets you there in the first place. And his reaction to it when you bring it up, is telling me he understands that. It's not something he is proud of.

Also you almost have to be the person in question to know if he has any back pain or pain in general. And honestly the only thing I have heard him say that is stupid in regards to this is that the Seattle air would help it. Unless it is something psychological. A close family member of mine claimed she had unbearable back pain. The thing is that it it wasn't anything physical. But the pain was real, and caused by stress. So unless you are the person in question you cannot say for sure if they are experiencing pain or not. Didn't phil receive some handicap benefits or is that something that isn't right?

With regards to his back; if his back is that bad then he's a fool if he doesn't have disability. Following his description of the pain, that's something a pcp visit and a few follow on medical appointments would qualify for proof of a disability. Like you stated, only the person with the pain can tell you how much it hurts. A medical screening will be able to determine and prove that their is a spinal related injury, a ligament torn, or even a tear in the core band that wraps around your lower torso. Any of these, if significant, would qualify for some degree of disability. So why not get it checked for disability?

I will say this, weather does play a factor on some back or joint pains. Cold weather aggrevates it; so being out of the NorthEast and moving somewhere more temperate does alleviate some of the pain.

He's never gotten disability benefits. Is it possible you're thinking of the money he got as a result of the car accident that supposedly caused his initial back issue?

I agree with most of what you said. I however have very little sympathy for him anymore. At every step of his "10-year-odyssey" he's had both haters and genuine fans both helping and tearing him down. Now, I won't pretend to know what it's like to constantly be made fun of for whatever reason. The fact that he chose to apparently only focus on the hate says everything that needs to be said about his personality to me.

There are plenty of people who've had far more hate thrown at them that didn't become complete cunts. He constantly chooses the courses of action that will only bring him more. He's never to my knowledge given not being a complete dick a chance. He bans people giving genuine advice simply because it's too much and his fragile ego can't cope with the fact that maybe he is/has been doing things wrong.

His circumstance and environment may have shaped him into the man he is, but I can't separate that from the fact he at no point has attempted to change anything in his favor. At some point he just became a cunt. Whether knowingly or not. If anything he's a cautionary tale to me, someone to point at and think "never be like that".
I think his fragile ego and subtle smugness are what make him so unsympathetic. He can't even handle being bad at video games so he makes up glitches and his mind changes events so he got screwed instead of him screwing up, now take this to a social level for a guy who isn't very smart and often shoots his mouth off without thinking and he ends up just being a very hard to accept person. Top it off with the fact that he was actually handed a lot because of his specific time and place on Youtube, I mean for that alone he deserves no sympathy because if he hadn't been such an asshole and idiot he would legitimately have millions of dollars and be set for life. The man has been given more than he deserves and he's ungrateful for every bit of it and feels he's owed more if anything, total dick.

Pretty much every lolcow covered on the forums has one trait in common with every other lolcow by default: a massive, raging ego worthy of being called a narcicism complex. They never think their actions are in the wrong regardless of ample proof of it, such that they do end up kind of paranoid about people out to get them because they are just such shining examples of human perfection.

Phil's ego largely stems from having been one of the earliest game streamers when that market was emerging, thus attracting a large share of the interest market, and then his one accolade of 4th place that one year in a fighting tournament (which used a game so maligned by people that the majority of fighting game pros boycotted the event). As far as Phil was concerned, it didn't matter HOW he got there, but he was pretty much king of the world. And he's stayed there for ten straight years without changing anything unless absolutely forced to - with some exceptions, every aspect of his uploaded playthroughs is identical to when he started out. And as a result they are poor quality bullshit compared to what every other current succesful lets player/streamer is putting out, because they take the time and effort to give the best product they can, even if it doesn't always return favorable results once in a while.

That's not what Phil does, he is not only egotistical but also lazy. He expects to sustain his level of living comfortably simply on the pure legacy of who he is. One of the first game streamers, he was the best player in North America at that one game that one year! To him, that's all the success he needs, but he also doesn't seem to get that fame isn't forever (and especially not when you're one of the earliest pioneers of something). You have to keep promoting yourself, giving the best product you can, which Phil legit seems incapable of doing. He's satisfied with minimal effort, thus he believes his fanbase should be as well, it's worked this long so why would that change?

He was born an asshole though, so I doubt anything will ever change that aspect of him.

He also relies on chat as a gameplay crutch, as more often than not it's up to the audience to literally tell Phil how to play a video game. He is so dim when it comes to these things that he can't even process and logically work out things that mere children would be able to figure out.

Phil did have gout. He claims he doesn't have it anymore but he has admitted he did.

Gout is incurable. If you have it, you have it for good. It's just the kind of metabolism that generates uric acid crystals in your joints. That doesn't go away. But it's so completely treatable that it's ridiculous. Just change diets, take allopurinol (a pill that costs less than aspirin) and you never have an actual gout attack.

I don't believe he had gout because by all accounts it is excruciatingly painful and immobilizing. He was just bitching about some vague aches and pains he had from being a couch potato for life, and someone suggested it, and he grabbed onto it.

I still think he should be called the King of Gout for the rest of his life, though.
