Lolcow Peter Guerin / Docforbin - Columbine Shooting and Daria Fanboy, Thinks Trolling is Worse than Actual Murder

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Since he's still buttmad over things that occurred 30 years ago, I'd say he's got an issue with letting go.

He still spams my channel because he got into an argument with another user on a fucking forum over some autistic shit. I think it was furry stuff. This shit happened like 15 years ago and I was never a part of it.

So, yeah, the guy need help letting go.

He's still obsessed with some shit comic strip from back in 2001. I've never heard of it, nor do I want to know about it.

That's because self-diagnosis is bullshit. Sorry but it is. You are not capable of determining your status because of cognitive bias.

It's like how you ask a hundred people to read a horoscope but don't tell them what it's a horoscope for. For example it's Capricorn but you don't say it is. And then have the people respond if they feel this is describing them. The majority will say yes because we see in ourselves what we want to see. Same thing happens for self-diagnosing your autism. While you might have some traits in common it doesn't then mean that you are a fit.

Like Sick Nick, who kept insisting he was autistic, even though he was told repeatedly he wasn't by his doctors, and had been diagnosed with what, schizoid personality type or something like that?

If you really, truely think you might have autism, go to a fucking medical professional, don't just spend ten minutes on WebMD and then take it and run with it.

Letter to the editor: Technology not to blame, people are
  • 8 hrs ago

Editor:

I am writing in reply to Sid Gordon’s letter of Feb. 21 in regard to electronics.

I think what Mr. Gordon — and others who are critical of technology — forget is that technology in of itself is neither good nor evil; it’s the intentions of those who use it that make it either good or evil. Take social media, for instance. Many people who have not had a voice in the past, especially those who are disabled, have been empowered by Facebook and Twitter. I especially point out the efforts of disabled rights advocate Lydia X. Z. Brown (whom I follow on Facebook) as an example.

However, on the opposite side of the coin, there are trolls and cyberbullies who have been empowered by such sites as Encyclopedia Dramatica and Kiwi Farms to persecute people who are “different” like the disabled, minorities, the LGBTQIA community and so forth (such as their continued persecution of Christine Weston Chandler and Kevin Healey, to give two examples). The proliferation of “fake news” has not helped matters, either.

This is why we do need to update the woefully outdated laws we have in regard to libel, slander and defamation of character in this country and also create an international treaty to prevent sites like Encyclopedia Dramatica and Kiwi Farms from going from country to country to elude being held accountable for their actions.

I would highly recommend watching “The Soul Sever” episode of the 2011 version of Thundercats since it brilliantly portrays how it is so much the use or misuse of technology that can paint people’s impressions of it, for good or bad. In this case, it can be said that technology doesn’t harm people — it’s those who use it for bad purposes who do.

Peter Guerin, Hadley

Nothing says "I am a serious person to be taken seriously" than ending a letter to the editor with Thundercats. That certainly doesn't say "I am a ridiculous exceptional autist who probably deserves to be made fun of online."
The REMAKE of Thundercats, which means he watched it, a children's cartoon, as an adult, not the original back when he was a kid.

Peace in the middle east, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, that whole North Korean thing? Naw, the real issue is screencaps and accurate calling out bullshit mean words said on the internet.

Equal Fights 2: Out-Trump-Ed

I thought this went on forever as I was scanning through it, but it appears that by his standards this was pretty much a short story.

FWIW, this WattPad account seems new:

Probably not worth updating the OP for it, since I think you need an account on Wattpad yourself to view the page. Plus what I linked to is his only entry thus far.
