There does exist a few companies with "DSP" in the name, even one called "DSP Media", but none are owned by a Phil Burnell

Yeah, it's kinda known. I made this post a couple pages back in response to something else. I think it pretty much sums up what's available related to Phil's business registration :/

Phil's first registered business in Washington was misspelled as 'Burnell Prodcutions'. Eventually, he closed it and opened a second one on the same day, this time properly spelled 'Burnell Productions'. SirJamesDTech speculated the mispspelling was intentional to pull this move.

Panda Lee's former business showed up in the results.

Yeah both "The Black Currant" and "Burnell Productions" are fictitious names, not businesses. It's the away-from-keyboard equivalent of a username. You're allowed to go around doing business as "Door to Door Propane" instead of "Hank Hill." It's still not a corporation or even an LLC or LLP.

And that's why it says they aren't paid yet, the bank usually pulls the funds from your escrow and pays the property taxes at a set time twice a year.

This screenshot tells us nothing we didn't already know, and has nothing to do with the tax saga.
Other than goddamn the taxes up there. I don't know the square footage of the pigpen but I have an acre of land and my house and my property tax is $1975 for the whole year

Since DSP isn't streaming for like another 12 hours and almost everyone is talking about tax issues I've moved a bunch of posts to the dedicated tax/money thread and locked this one temporarily:

Please post in that thread in this instance because it makes it far fucking easier to find information later on.

Heyja, just flying in with something that has nothing to do with anything right now, except DSP of course.

Doesn't Phil look really professional and like an active livestreamer when the last video or even highlight was from March 2017? This just screams: "Oh watch me, I do many streams", right? So how often does this Phil-guy stream? I dunno. I watched him right now (someone might say) but other than that, I dunno, maybe he's not worth of my support.

I sure get why Phil deletes every VOD, so he can squeeze more money on Youtube where he can actively decide the amount of ads. Ya know, Youtube, the website he calls his archive so this strategy contradicts his statement? Yeah, he is also not very aware of the basic fact that Twitch also has ads, not only when people start watching his livestream, but also on every VOD and every highlight. Each ad states the following: "This Ad supports [Name]". For a guy who wants to make livestreams his livelihood, this is an idiotic behaviour.

So from my own experiences, here the following (:powerlevel:): The ad revenue on Youtube is higher than on Twitch, sure. But the most money comes from subscribers and this amount overshadows Youtube by far. So I would do anything possible to make my Twitch-channel more appealing.
He's also not very aware that he has basically 2 fanbases, one for each website (which can overlap of course). People on Youtube don't necessarily want to watch him on Twitch and vice versa. The audience on Youtube also doesn't necessarily like his uploaded livestreams because they don't want to hear the cheering, subs and tips or his interaction with the audience, maybe they just want to see Phil play the goddamn game and his focus on it.

Phil needs to stop hiding his content and give it free on both sides. But I know why he won't do that. VODs are the full content and he can't Start/Stop to decide which lie people will hear. Detractors could use his statements against him, even so he has full control over what he says (okay, fine, he has no control over his vocal garbage). And setting highlights is like cutting a video and a Phil would never do that, too much work!

This is just another mirror which reflects Phil's incompetence and lazyness.

Afaik Phil is contractually bound to not keep VODs while uploading onto YouTube.

Is this some partner contract thing only? Know of 2 people (non partners) who put videos on YT and leave VODs up on Twitch and they never had an issue. I know Phil has said before that Twitch does not allow this but when 95% of what comes out of his mouth is a lie it's hard to believe him.

Its some partner specific rule. There's something about delay in there. So I think he could leave the VOD up if he waits 24 hours before uploading it on YouTube but I'm not 100% sure.

To be fair, Twitch changed a few smaller things in the last years so it's possible I'm not up-to-date. But I never heard of that or seen anyone who behaves like that, except for Phil. And I also never experienced any problem. What I agree on is the prohibition of gaming related streams on multiple platforms, because of exclusivity. However, some people state they can't find even this clause in their contract, even when it would make sense.
But that would be quite strange when everyone can upload his own stream right away through the Twitch-tools itself. And I obviously never heard of that and I've never seen this behaviour by any Twitch-partner, and they are bigger ones so they don't fly under the radar. This could also be a myth and DSP believes it. Or he is in a newer contract which only affects people like him.

But when the source is only Phil, I won't believe that statement.

Edit: And even when he's not allowed to upload his streams before 24 hours pass by, there is still no good argument for deleting all of his VODs. He is totally allowed to keep them.

In life, telling lies always catches up with you, Phil has got away with this for way to long, it's gonna bite him in the arse sooner rather than later.

One would hope, sadly that is not likely with his consistent cockroach luck
