TGWTG "Nostalgia Critic" / Doug Walker, Rob Walker, Mike Michaud, Mike Ellis, Holly Christine Brown, et al - The Incompetent Predator-Protecting Upper Management of Channel Awesome, Doug Still Not That Funny

Realistically speaking, how much could her and Malcolm could possibly be getting paid here? I doubt that much.
Probably not much , but a steady acting gig in a competitive city like Chicago is nothing to sneeze at. There are scores of performers who would like a gig like that. Plus, this is one of the few occasions in which the exposure that Channel Awesome touts is probably worth it.

So, in their attempts at damage control, they accidentally dropped this Jew Wario bomb and potentially made everything worse? Hahaha! Bang up job, Mike!

That couldn’t be a accident. Look how easily that was all put together. It was a savvy way of exposing a well liked individual whom was canonized. It’s a take everybody down with us approach.

I'd say it's a 50/50. Michaud and the Walkers are pretty exceptional after all.

The whole reveal feels like it was unintentional, and had Mike not been a fucking r.etard about the whole thing, it probably wouldn't have been revealed (at least, not in the way it has).
Agreed. Assuming it was JewWario, they wouldn't have lit that fuse while there's a memorial video for him on their site, one that heavily features Doug.

CA is definitely taking all of this too carelessly. They could be lying out their asses. But I won't 100% confirm either side.

Crosspost from the Dobson thread.

I genuinely think this was an accident on Mike's part, but now he has to roll with it. I bet he's holed up right now, scheming as hard as his weasel brain can go to think of a way to wiggle out of this, throwing as many under the bus as possible.

I don't agree with the sentiment that the incident described by Jane Doe was grooming, though. She was 18, a consenting adult. We've all had sex we regret, I sure as hell know I have, but that doesn't give me the right to run around accusing all of my partners as having groomed me. Shit's stupid.

However, he may well have been a sex pest. It's unclear as to whether he convinced her or actually forced her, or even if there were others. That, and what age the (potential) others were. He must have been a deeply troubled man regardless, seeing as things went the way they did. I guess unless more people come forward now the cat's out of the bag, we'll never really know.

I hope whatever the outcome of this shit is, the whole "I was of legal age, but felt mentally younger" thing isn't a standard they'll continue using. That's scummy as fuck, trying to bolster your victimhood-status, by putting the thought of pedophilia in people's minds. Nothing that happened was illegal. Slimey and creepy as fuck, perhaps, but not illegal.

However if we go with their claim of "... [he] made it seem like it was like teachiong someone how to read ... ", then it it definitely sounds like JewWario. His entire shtick was teaching people what they could play, and how to cook Japanese shit. Seems like something like that would be right up his alley. That, combined with all the other evidence, and, yup, pretty sure it was him.

For all I know, though, this might've been a -- what we used to call -- scenwhore, that got mad when she realized he isn't gonna leave his wife for her, and then tried to fuck everyone over. I don't know what really happened. But I damn sure find all of this interesting.

Something tells me only the inner circle knew if Jew Warrior was the groomer, since it wouldn't make sense for the former contributes to put the anonymous victim's testimony in the document if they thought it would link them to the mess too.
It doesn't make sense that Lupa, Marzgurl, etc, would not have at least *asked* who the "groomer" was. Keep in mind, the only reason people put two and two together was because Michaud was stupid/vindictive enough to reveal the day they fired him.

I always found it highly conspicuous that #changethechannel wouldn't release the name of the person they were accusing, but it would make total sense if it was someone they all publically still liked/a dead man whose reputation they didn't want to tarnish.

Somebody should get them to clarify.
