I just find it funny that CA could have maybe survived this if Mike responded better or even ignored it. A lot of producers would still leave, and viewership would suffer but they could have still stuck it out for another year at least.

Given his closeness to the Walkers (they just appeared in what will most certainly be Doug's last convention this past weekend), he probably had a head's up about the aggressive nature of Channel Awesome's second response. If they had told him they would be using censored versions of chat logs to illustrate their defense, Brad might have taken it for granted that they'd remove the time stamps.
