tbh i was expecting something more but the fallout sperging seems minimal.

I've seen @GethN7 make a few posts about the possibility of this being done to Nate Spidgewood. I'm personally amazed that Bryan gets to be the first person to get hit with this. I kinda hope he socks again just to see how the court rules. It'll be fun.

What I find most fascinating about Bryan and most funny is he is more or less a normal dude in the internet I don't think he's even actually autistic but he's a man who had a taste at e fame and had it slip right through his fingers. There's been a lot of discussion over how valid it is to send someone a cease & desist notification and prevent them from accessing your website.
There is actual legal precedent.

That second link is written by a guy called Orin Kerr:

If Orin Kerr writes an article on his blog and titles it "District Court Holds That Intentionally Circumventing IP Address Ban Is “Access Without Authorization” Under the CFAA" then you know that there is actual legal precedent.
A key part of that case was that the complainant (Craigslist) had both issued an IP address block and sent a cease & desist letter through traditional methods:
"The banned user has to follow only one, clear rule: do not access the website. The notice issue becomes limited to how clearly the website owner communicates the banning. Here, Craigslist affirmatively communicated its decision to revoke 3Taps’ access through its cease-and-desist letter and IP blocking efforts."
The part of the CFAA dealing with "unauthorized access" doesn't actually specifically mean you hack or do something to gain unauthorized access. You can merely be told or have written into terms & conditions that what you are doing is "unauthorized access".
There's another case very similar to the Craigslist one (cited by @Null in his original post). In this case it was more about a specific T&C that restricted use of the site for scraping data, but its possible a website could put in a similar T&C to that effect regarding banned users.

Look, Bryan lazily using our research isn't much of a problem, I am not gonna sue him for making videos using material I posted publicly under a screenname that I also use to call people troons and faggots, the issue is that:
1) He doesn't add anything to it, this isn't a problem that affects me personally, but it's one that makes his videos boring to watch and may affect his traction (
because he is boring as shit), because his targeted audience has a lot of overlap with the members of this board.2) He uses said info, and at the same time calls us pedo-shielders merely for calling his bluff and spoiling the brief attention he got, which is kinda hypocritical and shitty of him. At least be grateful for the info you're getting, or simply don't take it and do your own research.

At least Metokur will get some depth, even while using some material from us at times. He will reach and get information of his own. That's what I think Bryan wants to emulate, but completely fails at and can't reflect at all.
