Bigot Brigade Something Awful and Friends - The roller-coaster train-wreck embarrassing downfall of a Web 1.0 giant and its tick offspring like from Cloverfield

I found out what that is about. The somethingawful account isn't new, it was made by a goon a while ago who offered to transfer it to Lowtax which gladly accepted because you know why. I think it's funny how he said he'll only use it to promote stuff that's posted on SA but just uses it as his personal twitter again, completely shitting on any meaning the "brand" somethingawful still might have to anyone. It's like that one alcoholic that always promises to get his shit together "this time" and then two days later he smells of alcohol at 9 AM. Lowtax might very well be the weakest man alive.

Lowtax is gearing up for another begathon. He could always sell his car.

I don't know if insider info counts as :powerlevel:, but since its on topic, I'm going to try to break this down for filthy foreigners and anyone who hasn't had to navigate the hidden horseshit of American medical billing.

When you go to the hospital, you are not charged a reasonable figure, and this is intentional. They over-charge insurance companies (to, essentially, cover the costs of treating people who can't and won't pay). But you can't charge the insurance companies $9,000 for a bed pan change and not say that's the going rate - so everyone has to be charged $9,000 for a bed pan change. But if you don't have insurance, go and talk to the hospital's finance department, your bill be slashed 25-50% just for showing up and saying "this shit is unreasonable".

If there is an expected medical event, say, non-emergency surgery to fix someone who's spine is crumbling, you can talk to the financial office, pre-pay in cash, and depending on what all is involved, get your surgery covered for less than your insurance deductible.

So that 60K in billing, depending on what all went in & how long Low-T malingered (and how much of a time-suck he was to take care of) in the hospital, is likely ~$10,000 after negotiations, possibly lower depending on income & if Missouri has a state reimbursement program.

Yep, I kinda mentioned this a little earlier but you explained it a helluva lot better than I did. Soon as I saw it I knew it was bullshit and just what the insurance had been charged not what his actual bill was.

C'mon guys, LowT just didn't want bore everyone with irrelevant figures about deductibles and insurance billing , I'm sure he totally owes that $62k.

Seriously, any normal adult with insurance knows "total billed" is not what you actually pay. But I guess most of his audience is probably still under their parent's care or on public assistance and wouldn't know that.

I wonder if FAU is mentally ill, and imagines he has discussions with other people before he does stuff.

Why does any one wanna be part of the FYAD crew?

It seems like a lot of mods are desperate to be accepted as a cool and unimpeachable guy, and FYAD is like the only exclusive Kool Kids Klub on the site. What that subforum is like now is totally irrelevant.

Case in point: the moderator of Debate & Discussion newest administrator of Something Awful

Heres Lornekates meltdown he caught a month probe for:

TL;DR: Mod with control issues who got way too full of himself because he had a minuscule amount of power got super assblasted because he took someone down for a really dumb joke the same way that a lifeguard would clothesline someone running at a public pool. Did I get that right?

Was this always a thing with SA? Are most of the mods like that there?

Yes, it happens whenvever Lowtax thinks he might squeeze another $10 out of some lurker. I'm sure it'll cover the ER bill.

Who the fuck would pay ten bucks to get what @Triggered Fivehead linked above? If his site is really that bad no wonder he's hard-up for cash.

I thought the real takeaway was someone not being zany enough for FAU.

So if LowT took over the SA twitter account why isn't it banned yet? Surely he's ban evading again.

Twitter doesn't consistently enforce any of its rules unless the lawyers start getting nervous. Last time I checked, there wasn't even an option in the reports section for ban evasion. I'm sure Lowtax will threaten to slit a "Nazi's" throat again and get banned soon enough.

I'm sure his children and parents will be thrilled to learn that he feels he's "stuck" in Missouri because of them.
