What a coincidence, I just had to write a 6-page paper on a sci-fi story of my choice and I choose WALL-E. While trying to find sources my professor wouldn't reject I had to weed through several scholarly articles talking about heterosexuality in the movie. Heres just a few different ones, all are peer-reviewed.There are people legitmately believes Wall-E is a lesbian...
I'm curious, does any of this actually happen in STEM fields? I'm not denying that there's discrimination but the way Tumblr acts you'd think it's some sort of dystopian hell hole for women.

"Wall-E is GENDERLESS so thus I'll label her as a lesbian".... Okay then.
That got me thinking. So many times when a strong female lead is presented in any argument against Tumblrinas screeching about representation they will always dismiss it on the grounds that said character is "pretty". Samus for example; she's strong willed, highly skilled, powerful as fuck, lives alone in space, rad as hell, but oh no she's conventionally attractive so immediately her status as a woman is revoked. They'll RREEE about internalized misogyny but fail to see when they do it.Nah fam, we like her for her stun grenades and her ability to remove the DOTs.
If only all women brought such reliable utility, amirite?
That or when Wall-E broke programming and gained a semblance of sentience he decided to have a male or more masculine persona. So a genderless robot decides what gender it wants to be, that's is so much more in line with Tumblr's groupthink than "UwU robit lesbeans *beep boop*".They throw everything on the altar of lesbiennes.
Even so, wasn't Wall-E programmed with a male persona?

post on some blog and i could help but wanna share this
I'm all for film theory and movie details, but like... WALL-E is a children's film. I'm not saying a lot of thought didn't go into it (honestly one of my favourite Pixar films) but it was made for children. There's no secret straight agenda made to impose gender stereotypes, it's just a feelgood story about robots. If anything, both robots have no gender, making them both nonbinary... wouldn't that be better in Tumblr's eyes?
Let alone "What Disney princess' should we put in an lesbian/gay incest relationship?" cause ew cishet normies.I doubt when the Pixar creators get together to discuss film ideas they go "hmm, what sexuality should we make this character?"
"Space we deserve".
