Could have gotten 100 gigabytes on Google Drive for $2 a month, or 1 terrabyte for $10 a month. But nah get 2 terrabytes for $110 right now. This is one example of a situation where a long term investment is a bad idea. He doesn't need 2 terrabytes right now, he needs like a couple hundred gigabytes.

I can't fault him wanting to back up all his work, especially with his older playthroughs that didn't hand hold. I just think he could do a lot better than portable hdds stacked up in his office somewhere. But then again, if it was edited gameplay, he wouldnt be having this problem...

It was the number two game streaming on Twitch over the weekend. I was watching a guys stream and his sub counter was off the hook, and his chat was engaged over the entire journey. He played the game on hard and you could tell the chat was with him the entire time.

. . . I also checked out Phil's stream and it was the usual degenerates in chat, moaning about the game choice, random nonsense or not subtle digs at Phil, commentary and interaction was uninspired as usual.

If Phil wasn't able to make money on this game he's got noone to blame but himself.

I know that he'll never get a wide audience regardless of the game, he's just boring as shit. But his Twitter poll was actually fairly accurate. 40% of people not caring about the game is actually in line with what you'd expect the PS4/Xbox/PC distribution to be.

He actually did kind of address that. You just interpreted it rationally, while Phil filtered it through his contrarian potato brain. He chalked up a fraction of those negative replies as people who were jealous or resentful that it was a PS4 exclusive, and so they were refusing to enjoy it out of spite for that reason.

It's not possible to just not be interested because it doesn't apply to you, it's got to be because you're a bitter, jealous person. Like Phil.

Just to add to this, when it comes to exclusives, the only people who give a fuck are the people who have that console and most likely bought that console for that exclusive. Which in turn means, they're playing the game, not watching Phil limp to the finish line with axe throws.

I know im flogging a dead horse here but if he played Monster Hunter, a game thats super popular and is on multiple consoles (pc soon too I think, at least I hope so) his audience would be a lot bigger.

He doesn't need to backup any of his videos.
He never edits, so no need to.

But if he did need a hard-drive. Just get a NAS server. Second hand. But where you know the runtime. And 100% test completion.

He doesn't need to back up period especially since he doesn't edit and there are numerous websites that allow you to DOWNLOAD youtube videos. No matter what people, including himself, can download his RAW UNEDITED GAMEPLAY and use it however they want.

Hell, he don't need a hard-drive let alone a NAS server as literally his YouTube is the storage device for all his content.

At the end of the day he is wasting a fuck tonne of money on these portable hard-drives when the money he is spending on them would be better off spent on important stuff such as:- healthy food, taxes, utility bills, emergencies, any medical bills etc. (basically important ADULT shit)

Hell, he is spending a fuck tonne of money on shit he don't need all the time. If he was more frugal and cut out spending money on shit he don't need then he wouldn't need to beg for money in the first place.

The only reason he is the way he is now and making false reasons to get people to give him money is that he is living beyond his means and doesn't wanna admit it. Nor does he wanna give up shit because he is used to living a certain way and doesn't understand that sacrifices have to be made in order to survive.

I actually know people who had that mindset and lived with those people. While I was prepared to give up shit just to survive they weren't and would resort to begging friends for money which infuriated me to no end as I saw that as rude and selfish. I was even prepared to sell my own belongings just to pay bills but they were constantly harping on about how that was un-needed as we could ask friends or family for "help".

People with that mindset have trouble getting out of that and sometimes even them ending up in the worst situation imaginable doesn't change this state of mind.

I feel like in his overheated lil noggin he was perceiving his status as shifting from Experienced Youtube Gamer With a Legacy, (fnnnnrrrrr) to Lord Elder Statesman of The Fine Art and Craft of Interactive Video Game Broadcast, Esq, and then the rug got yanked out from under him.

It takes at least two Review Brah videos to recover from one short Snort. (Yes, that is the official mindbleach exchange rate on the London exchange market today.) Speaking of, who is Snort? Not in a doxxy way, in a, 'who is this cool person who makes my life so much easier and means I never have to give Phil a view count' way.

Can someone please tell me what the facts are with Kat being so rarely seen? When is that last time she appeared on twitter or anything? I don't have a point or an opinion, just wanna know what is reliable first. What is confirmed about her job?

Speaking of Nich, I'm still baffled as to why he sticks around and tries to advise DSP, even though all that happens is a few things:
  1. DSP mansplains why what he's doing is correct/mature and what Nich is suggesting is too hard/not worth it
  2. Amityville/ThatDogGuy encourages DSP to double down on this type of response to advice/criticism
  3. KGhaleon asks why this topic is being debated/accuses topic creator of being a dang dirty detractor
It's the story of every TKOH screenshot I've seen, really.

Since I see people only remotely interested in Phil playing fighting games, I can say I sure as shit don't want to see that. Phil gets mad and spews salt, but the fact is that you can take his sobbing from any of them and swap the audio and you will get the same video. They get stale as fuck, which is actually quite impressive.
