...yeah, and spoil the first minutes, and first impressions with a game you anticipated are usually neat, of the game you want to play? Da fuck, Phil?

I also love how the Streams should be about people coming to see him have fun. I'd rather play the game and have fun myself. I'll never understand why people like streams so much. I understand playthroughs-acting-as-guides, I understand occasionally watching gameplay before making a purchase... but why watch someone attempting to be funny while playing a game? If you want to see the game without purchasing it just find a silent long play.

Regardless, even among streamers, Phil is the worst of the worst. Him having fun is a rare occurrence, and expecting people to enjoy seeing him having fun, as opposed to coming to see the game or Phil's exceptional humor, sounds so egotistical of him.

The vault boy thing I have not looked at but only know through second hand knowledge is annoying because it makes other people look bad, it also gives Phil a nanometre of credence. The issue Phil has had for two years now is the fact detractors operate individually and not cohesively as a unit. It also makes them look a lot more credible compared to the SOK who were just A lot spergs, ran by a shit tier lolcow. I assume vault boy should just redact the video and then we can get along with business.

To @actually or @EddyB43 how have Phil's numbers been have they been that bad?

Alot of the time when I watch streams it's for background noise. Sometimes something funny happens so you react to it.
Other times I've also formed some sort of a "hangout" in smaller streams where you can chat about stuff that everyone is interested/invested in.

It's just chill. Not the way Phil sees it, which would be closer to a celebrity game reviewer. And as for his chat, I won't even get into that.

For sure, but as soon as this comes to Phil's attention he is going to be on a bloody huge offensive of look at this video they made mocking me, it's clearly fake, this is what I have to deal with and so on. Sure it's only one person, but you give phil and inch and he'll take a mile. His view on the detractors is that everyone who isn't in his stream chat showering him with love and money (mostly money) is a detractor, and everyone who isn't in his chat is in a chat room or on a forum or doing something behind closed doors to be an organised movement to push him down.

In all seriousness, if Phil or anyone thinks that way that there is some "detractor club" then they're legitimately exceptional. There are enough slapfights between "detractors" to prove this isn't the case.

Stream chats are very fun places to hang out and chat. I can't put my finger on it exactly but Phil's chat is just not fun to be in at all. I've tried to join and watch the stream but it's just not a pleasant place to be.

I recall him saying that, yes, claiming that one PC can't handle both (utter bollocks) but I wouldn't quote me on that since I have an atrocious memory.

But all you really need to get from all of this is that he refuses to stream on PC - he did do Minecraft streams for a short while and he just wouldn't shut up about how it was "choppy" (as if Rage wasn't a bad enough measurement, Minecraft's a fucking Java game)

If past is precedent (and it always is with Philbert) he'll be smug about it and say this is proof that all detractors are mentally ill and you gotta listen to him because he's the true and honest one. Much like the SoK implosion from last year, in which for a moment Philly got to look like the "mature adult." For a few days, since he proceeded to cause the self-inflicted fiasco that was the Patron's Choice of Super Mario Sunshine merely a week later.

it's why so many people didn't believe him during the escort saga, he's been known to say ITS NOT TRUE I DID NAWT so much that when he really means it, it sounds just like a lie
and likewise, one day phil might actually quote someone and not lie, but no one will believe him since he twists words all the time. he could go on camera and say "I went to the doctor and he said it's cancer, terminal" and all we would do is laugh and roll our eyes. we would only really know when he starts showing the signs.

Made two comments and one got a like, the other (asking how it happened) got no reply, so...not everyone was falling for it.

Shame. VB did some quality editing once upon a time, but its been feeling like he's trying to make his own business off of Phil by pushing "salt compilations". The memes are p stale at this point too.

Agreed, I used to like the edit style of both Vault Boy and David Davidson a while back. David Davidson did the very funny incorporation of youtube comments from the DSP video itself which was hilariously accurate. And Vault Boy's memes used to be golden a year or so back. But ever since this "Extreme Salt", "Mega Salt", "Super Salty" videos started showing up way to often it's gone stale and dull.

In light of the recent autism fires of 2018 I'm inclined to consider making a new soft rule: any Vault Boy videos posted here from now on will be edited out.

I don't really care if people monetize their videos or not, but if they're making completely false shit up (and its instantly provable) and it gets posted here and they indirectly profit from it then that's fucking dumb. There would be no punishment for people posting them without knowing this, its just a case of removing them and trying to make it known that the videos aren't true & honest.

I'm sure most of the views for videos come from YouTube suggestions rather than clicks from forums but this thread does somehow get 100k views a week and allowing any indirect promotion of autism that is known to be false/exaggerated is something to try and avoid.

The way this would be policed if accepted (I'd pass it by @SoapQueen1 before enforcing it) would be for people to just report VB videos as clearly most people seem to have some issue with them right now.

DSP fanboys have pretended to be detractors before in an attempt to make detractors look bad. Can remember Ashish_Lamps (still posting occasionally on TKOH but far less active than previously) trying to buddy up with me and txt on twitter, and trying to make outrageous comments to encourage other detractors to agree. He got told to calm down and he resorted to tweeting about his alt account on his normal twitter account instead to demonise da detractors.

Just some food for thought on why people would try to get sympathy for Phil by pretending to be someone they're not.
