Kat, who now heats up ( or has Dave do it ) Schwann's pre-fab, delivered frozen meals instead of actually cooking.
Kat, who quite possibly bought a 2nd copy of a Triple A game, GoW ( not sure how sharing console games work ).

You make really excellent points, and each one backed up beautifully. But. Until Kat starts spilling the beans, I can't bring myself to assume her intentions or thoughts. There isn't enough clear data. She could see a whole different side of Phil. Lying narcissists can make themselves so, so, so attractive when they are focusing on snowing you. (yes, even Phil. When I was 28 I would have moved in with any man who didn't hit me in the face. Life is long and awful and who the fuck knows.) I actually do know down in the dark cellar of my dried, poison-filled heart that she cannot be THAT blind, but, I have to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Also, why attribute to greed or malice what can be more easily caused by stupidity? The current US personal finance behaviours are shocking on the whole. (So are ours in W Europe, but not to this scale.) Cracked.com has gone from meh to fucking awful but I really think these are worth reading when thinking about spending habits. I include some links, but a google search can provide some proper data. We know Phil was never properly poor, Wolverine aside, but it gives some insight. I still think this way, having grown up in serious poverty in the US before moving to a real country at 20. Who knows what Kat's early experiences with money were?

I can totally see wanting to get new Xmas decorations for your first holiday with your new partner. The serious flaw however, is telling people. If Phil would learn to shut the fuck up he would get a lot further. He gets himself into this shit because he knows all attention is positive attention in that money. Just money. Money. 1 )My post assumes nothing of her motives nor intentions. I ask for citations about how exactly or when she 'talked sense to Dave' and included examples where I found this statement to be erroneous.
2) I have always put a new ornament on a Christmas tree with both old and new partners. I did not, however ask them to buy entirely new ornaments ( if it was in their house ) nor throw all my old ornaments away. Who throws out the garland, icicles, balls and baubles because they hung on a tree you had with a past partner? The special ornament ya'll got together? Yes, do not hang that. Everything else???? Heck, most trees I've put up were 1/4 the ornaments I took with me from my childhood, 1/4 regular nondescript ornaments hung on past trees, 1/4 their childhood ornaments and the last 4th some of their old ornaments to help fill out the branches. Granted, I'm not much for theme trees as the main one. Theme trees have their place in different rooms. Hahaha, but I grew up in a household that had a themed tree for EVERY room, even one in the barn and tack room as well as several in the yard, pastures and padocks, ( Christmas was a big deal when I was growing up lol ^.^ )

There was some debate on here about how DSP has so many subscribers and lots of people theorizing the accounts are dormant.
According to information released yesterday, YouTube actually has 1.8 billion logged-in users per month.
"YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki says that 1.8 billion registered users are watching videos on the platform each month, not counting anyone who’s watching without an account."

This means that many of DSP's subscribers are probably legitimate accounts who remain logged in while using the site, but they don't bother changing their subscriptions or watching shit that DSP puts out. A lot of this is probably down to YouTube making the subscribe feature redundant and instead just figuring out what you regularly watch and making sure that when there is a new upload you get to see it.
Its very apparent when you aren't actually subscribed to a YouTube channel but you already know about each new video they upload.
For example on mine I get this because I've watched quite a few of the channels videos before:
This is the same thing I experience with almost all channels I regularly watch. I'm not actually subscribed to them, but I still watch all their content regularly. Even the channels I really enjoy and would never miss a video from I've never found a reason to subscribe to. There's still no compelling reason to subscribe to them either, because YouTube's system works.
So the best thing to take away from this is that his subscriber count is actually legitimate but is also from a period in time when the subscriber count mattered a lot more than it does now. It really doesn't fucking matter at all anymore.
All it shows is that the subscriber account means fuck all.
To give an even better idea of how irrelevant the subscriber count is, I use YouTube regularly on a different browser with no YouTube account. Yet I still get to see all the videos I'd want to see without even having a YT account because it works the same fucking way.

every bit of information we have about Kat, and Phil's life in general, is from Phil. She needlessly spends money despite the financial hole they are in. We are led to believe there is a financial hole because Phil, an actual psychopath who's childish, extravagant livelihood depends on convincing others of such a financial hole, tells us so.
The only time I remember people saying she 'talked sense to Dave' was after he got suspended from Twitch. I'm not sure if it was the first time, second time, or both. Phil's tweets in response were noticeably level-headed, leaving some to speculate that perhaps some voice of reason had finally got his ear in a time of crisis.

I said $15 as He said she had the Spicy ( $13.65 ) and he had one with a piece of pork and an egg ( both meeting this description are $14.15 ...which is ~ $15 with tax..not to mention add on items ( which they offer ), drinks and appetizers ( which Dave has a history of ordering on Istagram ).

He has no guns. Maybe a broken Super Soaker in a box somewhere & I'd even be skeptical of his aptitude with that. Maybe a Zapper for the NES. That's it.
If he had any firearms, he would make sure he mentioned that at least once a week. His rabid paranoia would mandate it. Being white & in that (ineffectively, btw) gated community is his home security. I also think deep down there's a glimmer of self awareness as to his lack of cunning & thinking on his feet (or..not...too) & he knows that a weapon in the house would only cement his demise if anyone did ever infiltrate Fort Gout. I hope that never, ever happens to him, but if it ever did he's honestly just better off going w what passes for instinct, & just hide. And try to curb those penetrative snorts.

Not defending Dave here, but Doordash has markups included in their prices.
Looks like bowls without the markup run about nine bucks and "full featured" ramen is 11. Plain old ramen is 8.

Thank goodness I haven't - what I have seen of the US tells me that I never want to know what cheese in a can is like. Though seeing Phil's wasteful lifestyle I can't understand why an angry mob hasn't burnt his house down yet. Besides, Kat has a job, so unless even with a job a person is doomed to live with a snortyroach, I don't know if desperation counts anymore.

Yeah @Raven'sChild this was the kind of thing I was talking about when I mentioned her talking sense to Phil. I think there was also a time she told him to tone down the taxes shtick because it was ruining his streams.
Thank you for the very detailed response. Like others said there is just not enough information to know how much of this is Kat's influence or Phil just being Phil. Most of the things you bring up could easily have Leanna's name substituted for Kat's, so there is a pattern of behavior that points to the pigroach.
Now, maybe Kat knew this and is pushing Phil to give her a similar lifestyle. Phil could just tell Kat he plays up the panic for extra money, which could either be true or false. He could straight up tell her it is all bullshit and he is financially stable, which could also be the truth or a lie. It isn't like Phil was responsible with his money and it all changed when Kat moved in. If buying Kat something would keep her in the house another day Phil will whip out that credit card in a second because Phil loves his short term gains and doesn't give a damn about the consequences in the coming week/month/year.

Dude, even Leanna left, and she was pretty serious about having a pet and getting married at the start. The fact that Kat is older and she's stayed off that camera so long makes me think she knows setting up camp there long term isn't safe, even with Phil's pawsitivity.
