This means that many of DSP's subscribers are probably legitimate accounts who remain logged in while using the site, but they don't bother changing their subscriptions or watching shit that DSP puts out. A lot of this is probably down to YouTube making the subscribe feature redundant and instead just figuring out what you regularly watch and making sure that when there is a new upload you get to see it.

Its very apparent when you aren't actually subscribed to a YouTube channel but you already know about each new video they upload.

For example on mine I get this because I've watched quite a few of the channels videos before:

This is the same thing I experience with almost all channels I regularly watch. I'm not actually subscribed to them, but I still watch all their content regularly. Even the channels I really enjoy and would never miss a video from I've never found a reason to subscribe to. There's still no compelling reason to subscribe to them either, because YouTube's system works.

So the best thing to take away from this is that his subscriber count is actually legitimate but is also from a period in time when the subscriber count mattered a lot more than it does now. It really doesn't fucking matter at all anymore.

All it shows is that the subscriber account means fuck all.

To give an even better idea of how irrelevant the subscriber count is, I use YouTube regularly on a different browser with no YouTube account. Yet I still get to see all the videos I'd want to see without even having a YT account because it works the same fucking way.

DSP's problem, as everyone has already known for ages, is not that YouTube treats him unfavorably, its that no one wants to watch his boring ass videos. If there are 1.8 billion logged-in users per month and he barely breaks 1,000 views per video its because his content is shit.

With this all in mind, it creates a few scenarios

1. Phil's subs are part of the dormant accounts.
Now I would argue this is very likely, since his fans are likely young, don't think before they break ToS and get banned, they forget passwords or emails associated with the account (people under 14 are like the elderly with the internet, they click on shit everywhere). The article gives the number of accounts active, but not the total amount of google accounts (which would be the dormant ones)

2. Phil's subs are lazy
Just like Phil, they just might be too lazy to unsub

3. Phil's subs dont check subscriptions
Likely, but that would make them not be interested in gaming (so phil wouldnt come up) or favour other people over him (but they would still see his videos occasionally)

Regardless of what you think, he's just not getting the views (and he does not want to be Mr. Views)

I haven't been keeping up with this thread and I'm way out of the loop on Kat stuff.
Do we know if Kat has a job yet? And if so, do we know if it's a full time job??

Kat allegedly has a full time job.

This was why DSP started taking one day off a week. He spends that one day with Kat and goes grocery shopping.

This is also reason for changing his stream hours. He needed to adjust for Kat's schedule so she would have time to cook his dinner before 2nd stream when she allegedly goes to bed.

Kat also takes Phil's car every day so he can't go out except for the one day.

There is speculation to all of this because Phil slips up sometimes and says Kat is home when he said she would be at work.

I'm still kind of amazed that people will pay 56k for a tiny 600 sq ft apartment. Much less what ol street smart Phil paid for it. Too bad he can't POSSIBLY sell and only pay the remainder of the mortgage. Much more street smart to hang on to it as it deteriorates till it has no value what so ever lol.

I miss Leanna too. Now seeing back, she was indeed one of the best detractors ever. She dared to criticize Phil, she dared to sabotage his streams and I'm pretty sure she was sometimes an annoyance and confrontal on purpose so he would move his fat ass to do something productive, or at least gift her some time.

Often it seemed she just made shit up about him cuz she's just a mental child (Phil: I can't hear you, have headphones, all I can hear is 'Wuwuwumpa'. She: Don't worry, that's what I hear when you talk too). No, I think she was just really fed up with Phil's shenanigans and his whole behaviour, at least in the end times. I mean, what would anybody do when the boyfriend/girlfriend blocks everything you say as a "Nah, she's just mean to annoy me"? Leanna has at least a personality with courage, right in Phil's fat mouth and she achieved nothing. For all we know Phil can't take any form of criticism, and Leanna knew that way before we had a chance to observe Phil. So I can't blame her at all when she gets confrontal during his "job". I mean, this insecure asshole couldn't even talk to his girlfriend like a normal human being while he plays videogames. Just like a kid who is annoyed of mother.
I wonder who the real daughter was in this relationship. Because Phil behaved like a little bitch.

And I think she is really cute.

Of he sold it for that price he'd be taking a $75k loss. That would be stupid.

He pays what, $1500 a month?

$1500 is way less than $75000.

1500 dollars × 12 months = $18000 a year.

$18k × 4 years = $72000.

Phil is just as screwed as if he sold it and lost $7000 to begin with.

I liked it when she faked putting an engagement ring on for work and people told Phil and he called them all liars and banned them and was salty the whole stream then went on a break out of nowhere.

He obviously went to check and found out its true because he came back in such a BAD mood after. Then like a week later he put a ring on it. Then a month later they split.

This is just a prime example of Phil's shitty spending decisions. Probably a perfect one. I don't think he has any disposable income, but he STILL spends a ton of money on crap anyways. Its been said a ton of times and with a ton of examples that Phil can't save or budget at all, he's a spending addict and has shitty spending habits. And while I do think he's in a shitty financial hole, I think that what the paypigs are paying for is to not actually save him from the worst outcome, its just the maintain the lifestyle that he wants. It's why he won't sell his big house and go into a smaller one even though his house is worth like 50 grand or whatever. He wants a specific lifestyle and his paypigs have been maintaining it all this time, its just getting harder to maintain.

I think with the money he gets he could easily get himself out of the financial rut he can get himself in, it means making a few sacrifices like moving house and not paying for like 5 subscription TV things at once, but they're clearly sacrifices he won't make. He loves to spend. It's a little annoying when you think about it, he has all this money at his fingertips to save his financial trouble and set himself up for the future, but he does dumb shit like get out a credit card and put himself in more debt just to pay a month of PSVue. Then he goes to spend his money on stuff like 4K TVs because he "needs it" just like how he "needed" the overpriced $300 headphones even though his fans linked him some $50 headphones that did the same thing as the $300 ones he just automatically assumed the $300 ones would be "better" because its more expensive. The guy can't budget for shit.

I think if he went to a financial expert and went "Help me save my house, what am I doing wrong here? Why am I being drained of money despite getting up to 5 grand a month?" the financial expert would be like "First of all, what the fuck? Why are you spending the money on so much crap every month?" and then the Financial guy would tell him what to sacrifice to help save money and put him in the positive and he'd be like "NOOOO. I NEED IT. MUH BUSINESSSSS. THATS FOR UNWINDING. IF I DON'T UNWIND I'LL BE IN HOSPITAL FOR STRESS DOOD!" and all the other flimsy excuses like he gives on his stream.
