It's not even that interesting though, it's just you thinking you know shit about shit you don't know about or delusions. People only say the shit they do because someone was autistic enough to sit through your streams to see if it was true.

I really don't like the phrase "it's just politics," I'd rather go by individual beliefs.

So let's look at a couple:

If I have a friend who's a socialist, someone who's anti-capitalist, I can deal with being their friend. Our differences in belief are over economic systems. I don't know how many fundamental moral claims we'd differ on (insofar as treating people equally, respecting people's autonomy, etc...).

Let's say I have another friend who hops into boats in the ocean to turn back refugee ships that save people who are drowning when they attempt to cross the seas. These are irreconcilable differences. I could never see myself being friends with someone who differs from me so much on so many things that I consider "essential" to being a decent human being.

To brush off all of Lauren's bat-shit insane, borderline-nazi, "trad-con" views as just "politics" is so insanely disrespectful to people who are impacted in a very real and negative why by the types of rhetoric that Lauren supports.

June is also a spineless dumbfuck, but that's for another time.

Again that is your problem. You think the shit you spew is going to change peoples minds? No great orator or thinker is 'there to change peoples minds'. They are there to present ideas in which people can make up their own minds.

I don't actually want to demean you, but it is like talking to a high school student. Really, take some debate courses and get rid of your arrogance.

I've engaged with these types of people before. No one cares about what's true about anything, it's all about slandering a person you don't like for whatever reason. I have wasted so much time trying to "change people's minds" using fact vs fiction and I've learned over the past 1-2 years that it's a total waste of time. It's one of the huge reasons why I'd taken a step back from doing online debate stuff: people care about narratives, not anything remotely true.

tl;dr when I got into "internet debating" years ago I thought it'd be really fun to test arguments/philosophy against other people in order to root out the "truest" to reality argument. What ended up happening was people taking small clips of everything I've said out of context to construct these elaborate strawmen that have little to do with any of my actual beliefs, ie: unironically suggesting I am pro child-porn because of a 20 second clip taken from a 2 hour debate where I argue in the affirmative for age of consent laws against Amos Yee. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uw9NWF7Z6w

Also I don't feel the need to "prove my wit" here, I know I'm witty because I made a somewhat decent career online being witty. You can chalk it up to "internet dickriders" etc...or whatever you want, but where I succeeded literally hundreds of thousands of others fail. If you want, you can say that I'm not really funny at all, but then you'd have to admit that I grew my audience on the shoulders of my superior gameplay, and I don't think either of us want to defend that proposition. :)

Is there any debate where you honestly feel like you lost it? Because I honestly can't determine if any of your debates even yield any victory from either side. If it's by audience reaction, that's a bad way to measure the results since your opponents tend to not bring their supporters to watch your video, making the general audience reaction severely one-sided. I've been holding off on watching your video simply because it doesn't seem that constructive since it is so disorganized, so in your opinion what value do you think your videos provide in terms of debate?

Also, have you seen what a traditional debate - I'm talking about LD or Cross Examination format debates - is like? Is there any reason why you wouldn't plan out your debate videos like that? Especially since these formats tend to be very compact and constructive in its ability to generate discussion.

Lastly, can you clarify what your stance on deplatforming is? You honestly seem to go back and forth on the subject.
