President Donald Trump has made a tweak to his diet.

Rudy Giuliani told the Washington Post that when the two met for lunch recently, Trump ate a burger, but with only half a bun as a means of making it healthier. Trump didn’t change what was inside the half-bun: The burger was still cooked well-done, as he likes it.

The former New York City mayor, who is now part of Trump’s legal team, told the newspaper he sometimes goes with half a bun on burgers himself.

“It’s a good way to do it,” Giuliani, who ate a Cobb salad at the Trump meeting, said.

In January, White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson told the president to eat better and lose about 10 to 15 pounds. However, Jackson also pronounced Trump to be in “excellent” health despite his well-known love of fast food.

“You know, I told the president that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years, he might live to be 200 years old,” Jackson said at the time, per The Hill.

Trump’s burger tweak included more bun than in the past. Last year, former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said Trump’s typical McDonald’s order while on the campaign trail was two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fish and a chocolate milkshake. But at that point, the future president wasn’t eating the buns at all.

“Well, he never ate the bread, which is the important part,” Lewandowski said on CNN. “He was busy campaigning. We didn’t have time to sit down for a meal.”

The New York Times also reported that Trump would rip the buns off burgers while campaigning.

“Do you know how many calories you save that way?” Trump told the Boston Herald’s Howie Carr.

Trump cuts the carbs when he’s eating pizza, as well.

“I scrape the toppings off my pizza,” he told US Weekly in 2015. “I never eat the dough.”

Once in the White House, his eating habits seemed to change.

Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) recounted a lunch with the president earlier this year during a podcast interview with The New York Times.

“I am trying to lose a little weight. So I have for lunch usually a cheeseburger with no bun,” Schumer said in January. “And [Trump] had a cheeseburger with a bun and a whole lot of french fries.”

CNN contacted the "chef" and discovered shocking revelations about Giuliani's salad.

afaik, bread actually has a lot of carbs in it. So cutting back on bread intake is a smart move. Like my ma always says about her turkey sandwiches she loves so much, "The bread's probably the least healthy thing about my meal of choice".

I wonder would the media will write about once Trump leaves office.

I've never seen such fascination with what a sitting President eats more than this past year.

There was a press frenzy when George Bush (41 not 43) said he hated broccoli and refused to eat it any more because "I'm President now."

It's weird that they'd make a point of noting he ate the hamburger well done. You're supposed to eat a hamburger well done. It is blasphemous the way he ruins a good steak by ordering it well done, but it's literally unsafe to eat a hamburger not well done.
Well they weren't there, so it's not like they could firmly, but politely ask him to leave (read: REEEEEEE)

But in all seriousness though, if you're just going to eat a burger with only half a bun, wouldn't you just be better off eating a steak to begin with? An average steak has slightly less calories than a burger I would imagine, a burger with both halves of a bun at least. Even with half a bun, I'd imagine it's still less.

I like half-bun if the burger is a big enough pile that I'm using a fork anyway.

Okay clearly this is the end of Drumpf, for sure.

No but seriously why would you order a burguer or a pizza if you're gonna' scrape off half of the food you ordered? Why not just order a cut of meat or something?
Because sometimes you want the burger fixin's. That's most of the flavor anyway. It's why vegetarian burgers can get away with putting Nutraloaf or rejected sponges in the the place of a meat patty.

Ignore the FBI put a mole in trumps team.

To be fair we ripped on slick willy and his love for micky d's.
He at least put on a show of earning it by jogging.
