For anyone who is joining this thread and not caught up on current DSP lore the funny part about this isn't even the Tweet itself.

The funny part is that its highly plausible that DSP stayed up until 9 AM shootin' the shit and drinking gin.
When he wakes up, he will have an extremely uncomfortable hangover and hundreds of angry messages flooding his Twitter feed.

He is in his twitch chat banning people with Princess.

People still believe the catfish story?
Jesus christ

That says more about Phil than it does about those that believe to be honest. The person linked does not seem like someone who is deep in the weeds with Phil Burnell, so why wouldn't they believe this story given the MOUNDS of shit surrounding the guy. You say "Jesus Christ" incredulously as if the guy DIDN'T: get kicked off Blip for going full Anti-Semite Retard; get caught masturbating on stream, flagrantly flout Googles adsense terms and then pretend he did nothing wrong; stream details about his girlfriends mental breakdown out of spite and a quick YT paycheck; at best not be forthcoming about his tax situation in order to fleece his userbase (including several minors) out of pity-bucks; insist he would physically assault a (self-proclaimed) child; rant that his userbase was lazy because they didn't come out to his stream and tip him; berate a member of chat for daring to suggest that his life wasn't as terrible as he claims (for example his brother hadn't just died); misrepresent conversations with: Machinama, Patrick Klepek, and Twitch staff among others; constantly insult game developers and members of the tech community because he's terrible at games and/or his business; call hundreds of professional and casual Twitch streamers shills and money-sockets for MS because they obtained a game earlier than he did.

. . .and that's all the shit that I can recall. In short, get off it; this guy deserves every bit of vitriol that is being directed his way today. He has, once again, using the full weight of his street smarts, managed to put his oversized foot in his big mouth. Except this time he shit on the wrong folks.

He's very much not an "any attention is good attention" person. He likes PAHSITIVITY and positivity only, he can't handle even the most minor negative comment so he wouldn't risk a string of them for views. So I don't think it's an attention plot. He's just legitimately that stupid to have said this. Like take the whole Pewdiepie thing when he used to shit on him, then Pewdiepie had enough and Phil ran to the hills. He only shit on Pewdiepie out of venom and jealousy and to convince his fanbase not to watch him.

Phil said what he did because he's always gotten away with it. He knows he's too insignificant to face consequences.

The PDP thing was a rare moment of retaliation from DSP's target of venom. The giants the gnat-like Phil takes bites at have never cared enough to seriously scratch at his irritations. Which is what I think makes this massive response so juicy:

He threw the same impotent venom at those giants in his industry like he's always done, expecting to be ignored and continue unscathed as usual.

Not to go on a completely off topic thing about that, but the Tweet that user screencapped was from January.
The joke was they were wondering why they were blocked by DSP and thought they'd never tweeted at him and then saw that they actually had.

You can see the date in the screenshot.

Then he acted insanely offended and acted like such a victim when PDP snapped back, same with John and Howard, acted like it was out of nowhere. He'll probably do the same here. "Yeah what I said was wrong, but it got so TAHXIC! The hatred from these people! People I don't know! ATTACKING ME OUTTA NOWHERE! Shitting all over me, for NO REASON! It really hurt me... so pay me some money doods to make me feel better."

I think my favourite thing about this is this thought. What's Phil's biggest meme at the minute? Slander. Those detractors have been making SLANDEROUS videos about him for TEN YEARS, okay? Of course, none of it is slander, most of it is just his own words being used to make points that he doesn't like.

Now Phil has literally slandered dozens of people in a single Tweet. He claimed they were not only dishonest, but broke the fucking law by not declaring sponsorship. That's fucking textbook slander. I wonder what his views on that are?

All these Twitch streamers jumping on the bandwagon to give Phil shit for this tweet are just trying to take him down so they can further their own careers. They know that DSP is the original YouTube Let’s Player, the man who not only began the whole industry, but also has been the leading innovator for the last decade. He’s the trailblazer of YouTube gameplay monitization as well as the visionary behind streaming live game play with on the fly commentary. He had the foresight to see what revolutionary changes Twitch would bring to the table and capilized on that new platform. They are all just jealous that he has been there first and has been doing it better.

Dont forget the alpha/omega incident
The big difference between that and PDP is Phil was called out to back up his shit talk and prove who was the true street fighter pro....and promptly ram away hurling excuses about why he wouldnt play him and comment being out of context.
