Nah, it'll either be like Minecraft ("OH GOSH! I was SOOOOOO wrong about this game. Thanks to the Patrons who are definitely worthwhile and you should keep pledging so I can play another game I shat on previously!") or he'll piss and moan the whole time about it and talk about how right he was that it's boring and repetitive.


Sidenote: Phil appears to be reading a guide for fucking Yakuza 6: Movie with Occasional Fights since he knows that he's ~70% of the way through the game. His last video has a fight with some dude named Koshimizu, which apparently closes out Chapter 9 (see IGN's guide: http://www.ign.com/wikis/yakuza-6/Chapter_9:_Disappearance that shows up as literally the first result when googling Yakuza 6 guide). Dude barely pretends to even enjoy games when he's not on stream (and musters only slightly more money-based enthusiasm when he is).

To clarify, looking at Twitch's help page for gifted subs, I think all gifted subs are sent to chat automatically, so it's unlikely this jump is from gifted subs. There were 12 subs yesterday (2 gifted by Swagginz, but that was all) in chat. None today (5/19) so far. More likely is that some people re-upped their subs without sharing. This happens pretty frequently.

May I lovingly point out that his indignance & intellect don't allow him to wade deep enough into that hypothesis to reach behavioral adjustment. You're not dumbing yourself down enough.

Even pretending that he could get a job he wouldn't be humiliated to have (as he's made abundantly clear that he's above the service & maintenance industries), the biggest issue would arise the first time he's even gently corrected, about anything. He would react in one or more of a series of different but equally-likely scenarios of showing his ass, and all of them would end with him being fired, or him ragequitting (in true DSRee style, probably by sneaking out of the building & then just never showing up for work again).

Even if the company prefers a progressive discipline approach. Can you imagine his response to someone directing him to sign a document that stated he fucked something up?

There's no outcome where he'd adapt or take the L, & when he does have nightmares about a 9-5, I sincerely doubt his visions of terror ever even get to this point.

I dont know why some are shocked that dsp said he wasnt going to be interested in multiplayer with fans for state of decay. He played sea of thieves only 2 times, something he could have stretched out at least 5-6 more sessions by having fans pay to play whomever donates most gets in. that scummy tactic would have worked.

Is anybody surprised? He's terrified of people. He's terrified of trolls. He's terrified of anything to do with being social. Probably why Kat isn't allowed social media, he's probably terrified of her becoming one of us. I never expect him to play with fans/subs. It makes too much sense so of course he won't do it.

Leanna's parents never visited them in WA and I don't think he ever met her father. Zero chance he meets Kat's mother or demon sister. I always like to imagine how DSP would be with inlaws sitting at table during thanksgiving.

Survival sim? Check. Zombie outbreak? Check. Grinding resources and crafting? Check.

I dunno; I'll be getting the game (when it cheaply releases). There are a lot of people who still like that gameplay loop; as I said previously, if he was as good a streamer as he thinks he is, he'd actually be able to make it entertaining.

I think the more telling thing, is that a for a guy that bitches about the supposed underhanded toxic tactics of the gaming industry, he has zero problems buying the expensive enhanced edition to play the game early.

Honestly with Twitch TOS violations it feels like a roulette of who the issue gets forwarded to. It could be handled by an actual twitch staff moderator who will deal with it, or Hassan Bokhari.

Honestly I feel like they are pretty biased and are deciding on whether or not a streamer is good for marketing reasons or not. Which means they gets the boot or more suspensions.

Edit: Also I doubt Phil will get Permanently Banned the next time he get suspended, which will happen. Next suspension is more likely to be a one week suspension.

I think he's way too spineless to attempt to dictate her social media presence. And even if he tried, he's too impotent to make successful decrees on anyone except like those 6 or 7 DSPowerbottoms in his Freedom Chat. But you're right, his fear of her online radicalization is more than acute, & something had to be done about it.

And what I think he did about it (in the only display of aforethought or strategy I've ever seen from him, even though it didn't even breach the barrier of basic observation in a normal person), was toss out the "she's undoxable, give it your best shot, faggots"-flavored bait right before she got there, knowing that would just throw its inevitability into hyperdrive.

He then sealed the deal by throwing her at the sharks on instagram as she walked thru the front door & whatya know, people were talking about childhood exorcisms & calling her Mister Ed before the sun set.

And while she's the one to blame for allowing him to post that (assuming she wasn't assured it was a private photo), I think his hope was that the fallout from that would be invasive/hurtful/frightening enough for her to buy enough of his junk stock in why anyone who doesn't sing his praises is a vile rabid shitheel, to keep her around. Her social media stopped June 2nd as well as her Twitch/youtube presence. It's not hard to figure out. DSP probably told her Leanna's social media presence ruined their relationship and that Kat should avoid it. He also disabled comments around this time, maybe to prevent Kat from reading truths about his past or to protect his image.
