So this came up in my recommended the other day, but I only just bothered to watch it now and it looks like someone in the field of wrestling may have shed light on what might be up with Tonkasaw.
Video posted starts at 36:00, but early on in the vid, Tommy explains that there's a big difference between pro wrestling and amateur wrestling:
Amateur: Wrestling performed in schools/colleges and in the Olympics; a combat sport. Includes MMA as well.
Pro: Wrestling performed as entertainment and not to be taken as "serious sports" despite its name.
So onto what I timestamped -
TL;DW: Tommy gets a call-in from a guy who works as a trainer at a place that builds up indie MMA fighters, among other things. Not only does he say that what Zoom did (call up the Athletic Commissions) was a waste of time (since TN and AL don't keep records of amateur MMA fighters because they aren't sanctioned by the Commission), but was able to cast suspicion by looking him up using the USADA records, aka: The United States Anti-Doping Agency, where it appears that Tonka - or at least the name he gave the guy (he actually called up Tonka because he wanted to recruit him) - wasn't in the database.
You have to get tested by USADA in order to do any sort of fighting/performance.
Not to say that Tonka wasn't a fighter (guy says that sort of matches are "dirty shithole fights", lol), but the guy wasn't very happy to find out that Tonka was caught with his pants down and called him a poser.
So Tonka: He fought, but not under the eyes of the USADA.
Also, our good buddy Zoom appears in the chat and gets shat on by Tommy and the viewers for being a gross human being, lol.
