@zum I know I'm talking to a brick wall here, but I just wanna make sure you understand the difference between amateur wrestling and pro wrestling.

Amateur wrestling is two guys in singlets trying to pin each other in a legitimate athletic competition in a flat, circular ring with no ropes. Pro wrestling is completely fake fighting with larger than life characters that has predetermined winners, and where both fighters help each other do moves that look cool. Pro wrestling is completely staged at every level, from the smallest indies all the way up to WWE.

Grunt if you understood any of that.

Dear @zum not only is your research being brought into question again but now the claim is you just looked up a bunch of names of officials and you and a buddy larped the whole thing.

Once again the guy making the claim that tonka is legit won't say why and how tonka proved he was legit....but then again who cares

Cause I can't recall him ever saying he did amateur wrestling. You seem to conflate pro/amateur wrestling as well as pro/amateur MMA.

As far as I can recall what Tonka has claimed to have done is:
- Pro-Wrestling. (This is proven through video of him wrestling matches, you even had stills of a match in the video you shown)
- Amateur MMA (This has not been proven as far as I know)

Amateur MMA is basically the same as Pro MMA, except you not being paid obviously. The rulesystem can also often be a bit different from pro fights which in the states usually follow the universal rules used by UFC, Bellator etc. In amateur bouts certain of the most dangerous moves (like heel-hooks) might be disallowed; referees tend to stop fights a bit earlier if someone's in trouble and the rounds may be fewer/shorter than the usual american 3x5 minutes.

The reason for why people do amateur bouts, outside it requiring less licencing and paperwork (and no-one wanting to pay to have a complete nobody fight anyway), is that your amateur record are separate from your pro record. This way you can take some amateur fights when you're developing your skills, eat some losses while learning and when you start to get good, you can go pro; start with a 0-0 record and don't have those amateur losses marr your record. A flawless record is not as important in MMA as in boxing, but it's probably easier to get a foot in the door in the UFC with a 7-0 pro-record than a 10-3 one

Since you have such a problem distinguishing between pro and amateur wrestling, I have a hard time trusting that you've managed to properly search the records of amateur MMA-bouts, which is a lot spottier than the ducumentation of pro fights.

And in the end NONE OF THIS MATTER AT ALL. He runs a morning show where people pay Andy Warski to eat mayo and shit talk people. His past is irrelevant unless he did some truly heinous shit and exagerrating about wrestling and MMA isn't one of them.

Not that any cares about tonka's PRO wrestling career but statistically speaking heels win more than faces.
If the heel is constantly loosing then they can't get heat and no one gives a shit when the face beats them. You either have a heel who wins dirty and cheats or one who just stacks up the wins so when the face finally wins it's well deserved. He did claim that he booked himself that way because he owned the promotion and that's what a heel boss does but that's the wrong way to go about it (heel promoters seldom ever take a loss unless there are stakes, authority figures are super protected).
More likely Tonka was the job guy. The guy without the intro and pyro that puts the other guy over.

That said shit is fake and more scripted than summer blockbuster.

Of course it is. It isn't real at all and the thing is the draw of the audience. Still, its basically soap operas for dudes. And female fans. It doesn't matter how many he 'won' or 'lost'. But yeah, I didn't know heels won more. But again, irrelevant.

Yeah I guess I should clarify. He wasn't an actual important heel that keeps stealing the win, or a monster heel that someone had to overcome (which would have been laughable considering his build). He's the generic indy jobber heel that walks out, talks some shit to the audience and gets soundly beaten by the local face. That's why I suspect that he has way more matches than are listed on the pro wrestling database, because jobbers like that usually ship around to a bunch of different promotions and don't stick under one name, since their name doesn't matter/has no recognition.
