fixed it for you

German Army is preparing for different cases, one being the EU collapsing and civil wars breaking out. They have a proving ground that looks like the typical European country. With how american streets right now resemble the Weimar Republic more than anything I assume it will be the same case.

Internet gets censored EU wide soon when they pass their new law. I'm not a huge fan of nationalism but it seems this is gonna be it.

The hilarious thing in this is I think that top video shows the German Army’s only working tank. I think they only have 3 working helicopters and 4 fighter jets. Under their current horrific Hillary’esque defense minister I think the only training that tank is allowed to do in that urban environment is parallel parking.

SS wont die. Congress will find funding for it, they always do. Retirees are their largest voting block, they wont risk alienating them.

Even if they make it for "boomers only" the moment boomers start getting replaced by gen Xers in govt positions, it'll get extended to gen Xers, and so on. The government, at both a state and federal level, has already fucked up union pensions, and private industry has fucked any private pensions. 401Ks were meant to be supplemental retirement income, not primary.

The dam will break under the pressure sooner or later.

Better start funding my 457 better.
Same.

Simulated parallel parking, you know zee fuel ist very expensive, Mein Herr.

I think what Autistic Von Vunderkid was trying to say is that the US would use military force to put down the first widespread riots that would break out when people realize they aren't getting their SS money or any compensation whatsoever for their pay-ins back in the day. And, there is a historical precedent for using force to put down protesters demanding the government honor fiscal promises

it was a bad idea to pour such an absurd amount of tax money into the military. Before anyone chimps out they need to remember it's not majority paying for service members salaries, it's wasteful bullshit like making more nukes than could ever possibly be used.
Oh my sweet summer child. The military tax slice is a scheme to redistribute wealth from the citizen to lobbyists. Neither party would dream of cutting their funds. It was never in our power to do so.

You forgot Der Tod in Flandern.

Hey guys, did I mention I work with senior care?

My (least) favorite clients to deal with are the ones who are legitimately confused and offended that social security only covers a fraction of the cost of assisted living services. Assisted living (old folks homes, but not quite nursing homes) call me and say "I have social security and Medicaid, and I get $1200 a month and I need someone to feed me, get me dressed, help me squat on a toilet and I want to play bingo." Then I explain that getting meals, housekeeping, room and board, utilities and an emergency response system if the fall and crack a hip runs about $3000 a month. 50% of the time, the response is "Wow, what a scam, that's more than a mortgage. Thanks Obama."

Some people legitimately think that by working their whole life and paying taxes, they are entitled to 24/7 care after they turn 80.

Don't make this mistake Kiwis, younger or older. Get a fucking 401k or IRA and put money into it. You can also try my retirement plan; buy a gun for fun and keep it forever. Once you have your first hip break from a fall, do a quick hospital stay (Medicaid will pay for that) a few months of rehab (Medicaid will pay for that too) then go home, get to your bed, pull out the retirement plan, and off yourself. (This will save you a slow sufferable death while also saving your family the stress of putting you in a nursing home, and younger tax payers money for roads and schools)

As others have said. I never planned on retiring anyways. But it does piss me off I’m having to pay into something I’m never gonna use or see. Like - I’m basically just giving the government free money at this point. For no reason. It’s robbery. You take my money. I have no choice. Say you’re gonna provide a service. Then shrug your shoulders and say ah well kid that’s the brakes.

They are going to rob you, might as well try to take advantage of it in your 70s. You might not plan on retiring, but life happens, and the seniors who don't plan on life happening are the ones I laugh at when they say "will you feed me, clothe me, bathe me, and pick me up if I've fallen and can't get up for free because I'm old?" SS and Medicaid aren't great, but don't assume you won't need them unless you are planning on my "buy a gun" contingency.

Save for retirement, even if you don't want to grow old or retire. The saddest stories I hear are seniors that want to die at home, have a accident, go to the hospital, and have a doctor or the state put out an order for you to not go home.

Then you're sitting in diapers for the next 6 years until death because you didn't use Medicaid to do rehab so you could get home to off yourself.

I am employed and I am saving for retirement via investing, property, and 401k. I don’t need social security. Yet - I’m forced into it anyways. Despite it being completely pointless to me. I don’t wanna power level. But I’m really young my dude. There is no way the money I’m being robbed is gonna be there for me in my 70s. Yet - there it goes. A chunk of money out of my pay check for no use, purpose, or benefit to me.

That’s my biggest gripe. That money would be better served for my own purposes if It was never taken out of my check to begin with. Even honestly if I get to the point my body is so broken I can’t work imma just end it.

With 401k and investments, you can opt out of SS. It's like 2 phone calls. I would do it.
