Fallout series

Okay, I am more hopeful than I was at the start, it looks like they are still using the same engine ala how NV built on 3 and with the amount of physics-based items I am hesitant to say thank god this wont be a MMO/Battle Royale bullshit. I'm sure Gamengine (or whatever this version of Gamebyro) is not optimized for that bullshit, besides why would they need to rebuild it for an MMO when THEY NEARLY HAD ONE ALREADY.

I still unsure if it'll have MP or not, I'd be fine if they actually did make something akin to the Open-MW MMO patch or the Fallout NV MP mod that fans made. Horrible Segway I know, but has anyone noticed that they are using a hell of a lot of the unreleased VB ideas and assets no, so maybe they are going back to source materials and perhaps some Obsidian / Black Isle old guard has influenced them?

Also do you think the claim four times as large as Fallout 4 means more content or just a larger map? Because NV was in a smaller map with so much more content; a larger map implies that there will be more MMO elements.

Val is slightly excited.

I just want them to release the cover of 'Country Roads' that they keep putting in the F76 marketing materials, it's pretty good imo.
Yes please. Gimme the sauce.

It it an online-only game?
Like I said above, probably not. If they wanted to do MMO they have the assets from the failed Fallout MMO from way back and would rebuild on that now that copyright and shit is different.

For all you hardcore Fallout fans, Fallout76 is potentially using concepts originally planned for Van Buren

>The old pipboy style
>The old power armour
Shit man they keep dropping these old school fallout hints. I know I'm just setting myself up for disappointment but I'm starting to get hyped.

To be honest I felt Fallout 4's map was too small and cramped. It always felt a little to messy where you'd have settlements within spitting distance of raider camps or some other danger. On the plus side 76 won't have the nightmare that is downtown Boston.

GTA Online is ass. Never gave a rats ass about it since it took forever to even get into a server. See Dunkey's video on it for more.

Nuking other players sounds pretty awful. Hopefully there's a time out, like one nuke per 15 mins, or their anti-cheat shit is up to snuff.

I'm only interested if there's private server sharding and good crafting, so I can play shit as a building survival game with friends like Conan Exiles. Playing VATS-less Fallout PVP with randos? No thanks.

I've been a Fallout fan since before there was a Fallout -- I grew up on Wasteland. And this is just a crushing disappointment, though I'm not really surprised.

I'm of two minds. On the one hand, I wish the game well so that it doesn't pull a Mass Effect: Andromeda and kill the franchise. On the other hand, I kind of want to see 76 crash and burn so they never, ever do this again.

Now, he did say single player is possible. Best case it'll be like playing Borderlands alone, which is doable, but not the optimal way to play. Worst case it'll be like playing an actual MMORPG alone, in a gigantic map designed for hundreds of people.

There's no way there can be any kind of story with those nukes. imagine if you could just nuke Vegas if you knew where to go at the beginning of NV. Fallout is officially a brainless shoot em up. No more lore, all explosions, all base building. Fallout is now rust.

Part of me likes the idea of an Anarcho-Capitalism simulator, but poaching fallout isn't the way I want it.

All I know is that we shouldn't be getting into a frenzied mass until we know what is in store for us. All I know is that we shouldn't pre order itl
