He weighed 492lbs immediately before the surgery, but he had to lose weight before they'd do it. He says he was 535lbs. I'm assuming they literally
will not do the surgery if you're over 500lbs. Assuming he's not lying about his weight loss, that should mean he's like 380lbs which is right in the middle of your ballpark.
He apparently managed to lose 50lbs in 3 weeks
before the surgery by sheer will, but he'd only dropped another 100lbs in the SIX MONTH UPDATE. His 6 month update was 4 months ago now, this was his progress then:

Is it me or does he not look any thinner than he does at e3?

^Obviously that's him at e3 today.
In his most recent weight loss update (
fucking 3 months ago!) he says that "doctors told him he can exercise one he hit under 400lbs and he's been putting it off." He then tells a story about one of his friends pressuring him to use a treadmill he owns, and he used it for ELEVEN WHOLE MINUTES, for a total of 1/4 mile. He then goes on to say "I'm not proud of making it a quarter mile" while making it very clear he's proud he walked a quarter mile, because before the surgery he couldn't stand for longer than 30 seconds at a time, he likes not having to park in the handicap spots at Walmart anymore

.
He also says that he's eating 1800 calories a day, which is something I call buuuuullllshhhiiiit on. 1800calories a meal maybe
