sometimes ananta mumbles, sometimes they dont. also sometimes they are loud except when they usually aren't. i am very well at characters.
as someone who is new to dollie, going through her art...it just looks like the same character with different wigs and skintones. the ~ * A E T H E S T I C * ~ is eye catching, and at points looks alright, but it looks like she uses the same color palette over and over.

One of the things that I'm still baffled by is the fact that Tea is so involved with this little world of hers - a world that seems extremely lifeless and flat. Maybe it's just her writing skills, but I can't find a single intriguing facet of it. Hell, the most interesting feature is the relationship dynamic between Ash and Bailey, and that only stands out because it's romanticized textbook abuse. The lore behind the three gods is extremely lackluster; there's no distinct "deity" feel. Despite her use of Christian imagery, it's like she's never read a lick of the Bible, nor any other religious texts.

Her characters all have extremely boring personalities, save for the characters she deems "abusive" like Bailey and Alice. It feels like she gets most of her character inspiration from the "ghosts" on those shitty Travel channel ghost shows.

I wish she'd read Tolkien or something so she'd get the idea of world-building. Tea is really interesting in the fact that she has a lot of potential that she refuses to tap into, and it's super aggravating to witness.

i think part of it is because she's popular; the main face of the creepy-cute pastel-goth artists community.. having your character drawn by mama tea is like a clout generator for these people, maybe?

As we've seen though, so many people want to copy her style anyways and really if you can do it down to a t then what's the point really? I'm generally shocked at how many copycats she's got out there. And it's not necessarily bases either, it's literally the same kind of style. Sure popularity is cool, but it can only go so far before people get bored of you.

So at that point, I really need ask if you want your work in her style if you can do it yourself. Because if it's that easy to reproduce...it kind of looses it value a bit. People have mentioned already in the thread of how easy and simple everything is. How mechanical the textures are, little to no variation. It's really flat. And boring. And it's kinda sad because she had potential. She knows how to make something look aesthetically pleasing on the outside..but on the inside it's all crap that she needs to work on.

I guess when you're younger you really don't see the bigger picture (literally) but I guess that's what makes Tearzah's a bit interesting to me. Popular and almost a cute style, but a complete Trainwreck as well.
 
She seriously needs to cut it out with this ugly filter, it is not doing her any favors. She looks like a methhead.

Pretty sure Tea wants that "I can scratch your throat if I feel like it" look. Seriously thoough, it would be much better if they would just use fake nails for that. There's sharp ones out there. Growing nails out to a length that it's possible to make them claw-like takes time, dedication and healthy nails which I doubt Tea has. Plus, the distal edge just looks fucking weird.

SAME. It's supposed to be a "redraw" but it's not and I don't know why Tea keeps calling it that....I want to joke about how they don't know what a redraw is but then I am reminded that Tea keeps redrawing the same shit over and over. Makes one think it those "redraws" were all just drawovers too.....

it looks like one of the filters on Line (Apple or Ruby, not sure which, can't be arsed to check). which has a "skin care" mode to EASILY remove skin blemishes. (even if it's not Line, anyone with a respectable selfie game would have SOME beauty/touchup app)

she probably wants that nasty blemish showing tbh. gross.

I know that sometimes doctors prescribe things that are not FDA approved but that compounded with her having dermatillomania....no. You really don't want to be on any kind of stimulant (even caffeine) when you have body focused repetitive behaviors. I don't believe any doctor would do that, unless she got saddled with a real quack. Seems to me like she's buying and abusing.

But they are also shown to travel together. A lot of drug abusers tend to get started abusing rx's due to mental illnesses like Bipolar Disorder or OCD. :powerlevel: Speaking from experience here.

If she is mentally ill, she is more likely to be addicted to her scripts or abusing them, or even start abusing harder drugs.

Also, it’s incredible how she blocks out her paint tool SAI brush settings. Anyone who uses SAI can tell you that one of its only downsides is that the brushes have very limited customization. There’s hardly anything to hide!

If you think the brushes aren't customizable enough, you're not using the program right. But I digress. The reason you can tell what she's using is because it's all default stuff.

It's really obvious that she's using a small soft pencil tool with 50ish% spread and noise.

I dunno, Adderall can be pretty pricey and her main source of income is from commissions, right? Plus she's supporting Bailey. Some psychiatrists just straight up prescribe you Adderall if you:

1. Have a legit reason to take it, and
2. don't have any of the main contraindications (which are usually cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and history of drug abuse).

Obviously they're not particularly good psychiatrists but a lot of them just want to get through one appointment to the next. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get an Adderall script, despite all of the hubbub. Also... she does live in Florida.
