It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Itinerants are the worst. For example, Saudi Arabia might be a shithole, but they're a contained shithole.

Geese, "refugees", seasonally migrating homeless, Mexicans, gypsies. What do they have in common? No ties to the locals and no incentives not to shit all over the place.

Why didn't the police more actively intervene? Sounds like they just waited outside while the destruction continued for 24+ hours until the travelers left and then they had the gall to proudly announced that the situation had been peacefully resolved due to their involvement.

Because of stupid fucking human rights lawyers itching to sue officers of the law for doing their job.

Because for some incredibly stupid reason British police are not allowed to carry firearms without a license, and aren't going to try and stop people who are probably better armed than them.

If you wonder why we kicked the British the fuck out of our country and why it was so easy, just look at this pussification. The British lost the best of their populace when most of us went to America, the badasses got sent to Australia, and even Canadians are tougher than they are.

This story contains graphic content some may find disturbing.
A disturbing video posted on a Lake Country man’s Facebook page is causing residents to be outraged and concerned for the safety of children.

The video has been viewed more than 17,000 times on Facebook, and has also been shared by a concerned resident on YouTube.

Facebook user Matthew Bilous posted the video of himself singing a song called ‘Amber Alert.’

The lyrics are disturbing.

“I’m savage and I want her. About to ravage your daughter, I’ll smell her placenta and I am about to enter,” he sings.

“I want her young body, want to hear her crying, crying for help, but no one is coming ... It’s an amber alert.”

Multiple parents reached out to Castanet, urging the public to “keep your girls safe.”

A post on Saturday by Bilous says he has “sexual health issues.”

“Im really looking forward to finally getting healthy. I apologize to everyone for my behaviour and demeanour,” he said. “I have issues.”

He finished the post by saying that he wants to “get better” and “achieve intimacy.”

Castanet has approached RCMP about the video and is awaiting more details.

This may be my favorite Jordan Peterson hit piece, vaguely but persistently insinuating that Peterson is in some way pro-Nazi. (e.g., Peterson's 30-odd years lecturing about the Holocaust and the psychology of political racism are presented simply as "Hitler and Holocaust obsessions.") A few of the sources quoted, including Deborah Lipstadt, have made it clear that their statements were decontextualized.

Peterson published an account of the run-up to the article on his blog, including a fairly funny email exchange including a lot of, "How dare you to sully my reputation so maliciously, you appalling scoundrel!" on Peterson's part and a lot of, "Thank you for your feedback! Your thoughts have been inputed for better improvement," on the author's part. It's quite clear from the emails that the author of the article had no illusions about the fact that he was cranking out clickbait.

WHO takes transgenderism out of mental illness category

Wed 20 Jun 2018 01.13 BST

Transgender people, who identify as the opposite gender to the one they were born with, should no longer be considered mentally ill, according to a new UN categorisation.

The World Health Organization issued a new catalogue Monday covering 55,000 diseases, injuries and causes of death, in which it discreetly recategorised transgenderism.

The new catalogue, which still needs to be approved by UN member countries, so-called “gender incongruence” is now listed under “conditions related to sexual health”, instead of “mental, behavioural and neurodevelopmental disorders”.

“We expect (the re-categorisation) will reduce stigma,” Lale Say, the coordinator of WHO’s department of reproductive health and research, said.

WHO says gender incongruence is characterised as a “marked and persistent incongruence between an individual’s experienced gender and the assigned sex.”

Arab Dawn: How USSR Helped Middle East Get Rid of Colonial Pressure

Russia has maintained close ties with the Middle East and North Africa since Soviet times, when it helped the countries of the region rid themselves of Western colonial pressure, equip their armies and revive their economies. Speaking to Sputnik, analysts shed light on the USSR's regional strategy and how it affects Moscow's policies today.

Russia's relationship with the Middle Eastern states began to develop actively during the Soviet era in the aftermath of the Second World War, which sealed the USSR's role as a global power, says Boris Dolgov, PhD researcher at the Russian Academy of Sciences' Center for Arab and Islamic Studies.

"The USSR's influence [in the Middle East] was considerable," Dolgov told Sputnik Arabic. "The crux of the matter is that the national liberation movements in the territory of the Middle East came as a result of the Soviet Union's policies in the region. Moscow actively supported these movements in such countries as Egypt, Syria, Yemen and many others."

According to the academic, the countries' victory over colonialism was largely facilitated by the Soviet Union. Later, when many of them gained independence, they joined the socialist camp and declared that they were going to build Arab or Islamic socialism.

"Actually, they became the Soviet state's allies, both at regional and global levels," he explained. "In particular, the Soviet Union issued loans [to Middle Eastern states] which later were repaid partly or sometimes Moscow funded their armament on a non-reimbursable basis. This was done to promote the ideas of socialism."

According to some estimates, the volume of deliveries of Soviet weapons to Arab states between 1966 and the 1970s amounted to about $3.2 billion. The USSR reportedly provided $55 billion worth of weapons — of which about $24 billion went to Iraq, and $11 billion went to Syria during the early 1980s and the 1990s.

It was also reported that these supplies met 100 percent of Syria and South Yemen's demand for arms and 50 percent of those in Iraq. According to more recent data, overall, the USSR provided $30.5 billion worth of arms to Baghdad.

The USSR and Baath Party in Syria

The Soviet Union had indirectly played a part in the Baath ("renaissance" or "resurrection") party's rise, Syrian political analyst Hassan al-Khuri told Sputnik.

"At that time, socialist ideas were spreading in the region due to the victory of the USSR over fascism [in 1945] and the strengthening of Moscow's positions in the world arena. Thereafter Baath and the USSR bolstered their relations. Following Hafez Assad's rise to power [in 1971] and the ouster of his former party fellows [the USSR and Baath] continued to maintain relations."

According to al-Khuri, Syrian communists, who initially opposed Assad, also aligned with the new Syrian leader due to Moscow's influence. He added that Hafez Assad boosted his power in the country by being supported by both the USSR and the West.

"The USSR's assistance to Syria was considerable," the Syrian analyst underscored. "Damascus could not have resisted Israel without Moscow's support. Syria obtained the most advanced weapons for free [from the Soviet Union]. This assistance was 'unlimited' because at that time the US declared Israel its strategic ally."

Al-Khuri presumed that in case Russia had taken a neutral position in the Syrian civil war, Damascus would maintain good relations with Moscow even if the opposition forces had prevailed.

"Even if Russia did not support Assad, it would keep its positions [in Syria]," the analyst said, referring to longstanding ties between the two countries.

Moscow Has Never Turned Its Back on Cairo

Taimur Dvidar, a Russian-based political analyst of Egyptian descent specializing in Mideast and Arab countries, emphasized the Soviet Union's role in Egypt's struggle for independence.

"In the post-WW2 period Moscow regarded then-President of Egypt Gamal Abdel Nasser [1956-1970] as its partner," Dvidar recalled. "Moscow not only supplied arms to Cairo but also provided training to the Egyptian armed forces."

The analyst underscored that additionally the Soviet Union lent support to the country's economy and implemented significant infrastructural projects, such as the Aswan Dam.

When Muhammad Anwar el-Sadat, the third president of Egypt, came to power in October 1970, the two countries continued to maintain close ties. However, a year later el-Sadat turned to Washington, which resulted in the expulsion of thousands of Soviet specialists and their families from Egypt.

"This was [Egypt's] 'gratitude' for friendship," Dvidar remarked. "It is clear that there is no friendship in politics, but there are interests. Egypt was especially important for the USSR due to the country's location in the 'heart of the world' and its control of the Suez Canal."

He noted that after the 1973 Yom Kippur War, the US used the tactics of shuttle diplomacy in its relations with Egypt and Israel, manipulating Tel Aviv. For its part, the Soviet Union did not turn its back on Cairo under the Sadat leadership and remained on Egypt's side.

"In fact that was due to the Soviet Union that the Israelis fell behind Egypt," the analyst said. "However, Sadat continued to distance from the USSR. […] In Egypt, the gratitude to the USSR and the Russian people for their assistance and support is being passed on from generation to generation."

He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is especially popular with the people of Egypt.

"This is all because Putin returned Russia to its former glory, and this is the same thing the Egyptians sought when they elected [current president] al-Sisi. Russia gave al-Sisi an opportunity to choose friends and partners. Putin has something to offer [Egypt] and al-Sisi accepts it. Perhaps, Putin has become a sort of 'brand' in Egypt," Dvidar suggested.

The Soviet Union and Saddam's Iraq

Moscow has maintained cooperation with Iraq since the times when the monarchy was overthrown in the country. The Soviet Union continued to develop relations with Baghdad after the Baath Party took the reins of the country, Valerian Shuvaev, former Russian ambassador to Iraq and Libya, told Sputnik.

He pointed out that the USSR helped explore Iraq's major oil fields and significantly contributed to the development of the country's economy and the construction of Iraqi infrastructure.

"The Soviet Union counted on the Iraqi leadership, and not on Saddam Hussein. The priority was the course pursued by the Baathists. It coincided with the priorities of the Soviet leadership," Shuvaev explained, adding that one of Baath's political imperatives was "anti-imperialism."

The Russian diplomat recalled that Moscow supported Iraq in its war against Iran in 1980-1988, among other things.

"The truth of the matter was that Iran was not completely 'understandable' for the Soviet authorities at that time; at the same time, the loss of Iraq was fraught with aggravation of tensions in the Middle East," he elaborated.

In those days, Moscow provided modern weapons to Iraq. Today, Soviet weapons remain in the arsenal of the Iraqi army. The Iraqi authorities continue maintaining military cooperation with Russia, being guided by pragmatism.

Socialism on the Southern Coasts of Arabia

The Soviet Union's cooperation with Yemen was determined by ideological considerations, Alexei Kalugin, the former Russian ambassador to Yemen, explained.

The diplomat recalled that Soviet specialists had constructed a large number of critical facilities, including factories and hospitals, in the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen — another name for South Yemen at that time.

"The [USSR's] economic assistance [to South Yemen] was quite considerable, let alone the military assistance," Kalugin pointed out. "Money that was transferred [to South Yemen] in the form of loans has never been actually returned. Then Russia wrote off these debts when the south and the north of the country united."

The diplomat noted that there were also a large number of Soviet military advisers in the country. Then Yemen suggested that Russia maintained its military presence for money. At that time, Russia did not have such funds, so it withdrew its forces from the region, he said.

For his part, Boris Dolgov emphasized that the countries of the region have good memories of the Soviet Union's assistance. He pointed out that today Russia's goals in the Middle East and North Africa are pragmatic.

"Russia wants to establish mutually beneficial relations with the countries of the region. It's worth mentioning Russia's assistance to Syria. Today, Syria is the forefront of Russia's defense against radical Islamism. As for Russia-Egypt cooperation, it is guided by the same concerns. In some sense, this is the continuation of the policy aimed at protecting the interests of the country both in the Soviet era and the modern time," he concluded.

NEWARK, Del. - A man has been charged with using a disabling chemical spray during a fight at a McDonald's in Delaware.

Sixty-two-year-old Stephen Mikulcik of Newark has been charged with Assault 2nd Degree (4 counts), Offensive Touching (7 counts), Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree (6 counts), and Disorderly Conduct (2 counts).

Police were called shortly after 12:30 p.m. Sunday to the McDonald's on the 800 block of South College Avenue in Newark for the report of a fight.

Authorities say Mikulcik had an altercation with a female customer. The woman exited the restaurant and notified her boyfriend of the altercation.

Police say the boyfriend, identified as 59-year-old Elbert Woodson of Wilmington, then entered the restaurant and attacked Mikulcik.

Mikulcik left the McDonald's, police say, then obtained the chemical spray from his vehicle, and returned inside the restaurant.

Once back inside the restaurant, authorities say Mikulcik attacked the boyfriend and other patrons by spraying and punching them.

Two customers at the McDonald's were identified as an off-duty Trooper and a retired Trooper from the Delaware State Police. They intervened and were able to disarm Mikulcik and physically detained him until the arrival of the Newark Police Department.

Numerous ambulance crews responded to the location to treat the victims, three of whom were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Mikulcik was arraigned and released after posting $12,500 secured bond.

A warrant for Woodson is on file for Assault 3rd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. Police say the warrant has not been served yet.

A STOMACH-churning video shows a woman drinking a cup of her dog’s fresh urine while claiming it has cured her acne.

American animal lover Lynn Lew, whose face is caked in heavy make up during the clip, says that lapping up her mutt’s warm body waste had helped give her skin a natural glow.

In the disgusting footage, she also incorrectly claims that drinking canine body fluids can help cure cancer.

She said: “Many of you have asked me how I always look so good, how my makeup always looks so perfect, or how I always have this natural glow.”

The woman then holds a plastic cup under her dog as the hound cocks its leg against a tree and relieves itself.

After filling up the container with frothy pee, she downs the liquid and even licks the rim of the cup.

She adds: “Until I first drank my dog’s pee, I was depressed, I was sad, and I had bad acne."

“Dog pee also has vitamin A in it, vitamin E in it, and it has 10 grams of calcium, and it’s also proven to help cure cancer.”

Drinking human or animal body waste, known as urine therapy, was practised in ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt.

However, despite advocates claiming the practise has health properties, experts agree that drinking liquid the body has chosen to expel is potentially harmful.

Joy McCarthy, a holistic nutritionist, told Allure that dog urine could contain toxins or even poisons such as herbicides used for treating gardens lawns.

She said: “Herbicides have been detected in dog’s urine, likely from herbicide-treated lawns, antibiotics, and hormones, so I really don’t know that it’s the safest choice.”

The US army also advises troops to not drink their own urine in survival situations, even if they are dehydrated, due to the liquid potentially containing “harmful body waste".

'She might need some help': Jackie O sounds deeply uncomfortable during an interview with a woman, 21, who claims 'God told her to drink her dog's URINE to prevent her getting cancer'

A 21-year-old American woman called 'Lynn' spoke to the KIIS FM radio hosts after DailyMail.com reported earlier this week on her bizarre health claims.

She made several troubling statements during the interview.

Lynn claimed that God told her to drink her dog's urine and that pharmaceutical companies were conspiring to hide its incredible health benefits from the public.

She also insisted that drinking her dog's urine daily had cured her depression, cleared up her acne and was helping keep her cancer-free.

'You guys can make fun of me all you want... it works. I don't have cancer,' Lynn said on air.

'I don't have it either, but I don't drink dog wee,' replied a worried Jackie, to which Lynn responded: 'You might get it'.

Later on, the radio show's resident medical expert Dr KIIS joined the conversation.

'When we look at the evidence there's surprisingly nothing that says that dog pee can cure anything,' he said.

'And, thankfully, the rates of cancer in young people are incredibly low.'

Dr KIIS added: 'And the good thing about acne is that each year as we get older, acne gets better. So possibly it was just something that just disappeared [for Lynn].

'Dog pee does not cure acne. It just does not.'

Lynn then responded, 'Why don't I have cancer then?', prompting KIIS newsreader Brooklyn Ross to interrupt.

'Kyle, this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard on this show. I can't listen to this anymore!' he said.

Speaking to Lynn, he added: 'You don't have cancer and never have. The pee is not doing anything. This is infuriating!'

Dr KIIS added: 'We need to remember that this is not a natural thing to do.

'I think the decision to go and [drink urine] is incredibly not natural. There are a number of bacteria in there that are going to make it dangerous.'

It comes after Lynn made headlines after posting a horrifying video of herself drinking her own dog's urine and claiming it helped clear up her bad acne.

'Many of you have asked me how I always look so good, how my makeup always looks so perfect, or how I always have this natural glow,' she says in the clip.

Using a plastic cup, Lynn then collects urine from her dog before drinking it.

'Until I first drank my dog's pee, I was depressed, I was sad, and I had bad acne,' the woman says after finishing the cup.

'Dog pee also has vitamin A in it, vitamin E in it, and it has 10 grams of calcium, and it's also proven to help cure cancer.'
