So, uh, this "marathon" was a relative bust. Here's why I'm saying that:

Now, the sub number is obvious. A whopping 4 subs all day (in chat), and 3 were just resubs. But you might look at the total cheers and, say, gosh, that's a decent amount. It is, but let's look at where that came from:

derfusilador cheered [1] times: $100.00 (avg. cheer of $100.00; 68.46% of total)

Without super-cuck's $100 (seriously, read this emo shit: https://overrustlelogs.xyz/Darksydephil chatlog/June 2018/userlogs/derfusilador), Phil pulled in a whopping $46 from cheers in 9 hours. And for tips? Top was $15. Second highest I saw on the leaderboard was $10 (from near the beginning), and I think there were 2 $1 tips. So even applying a fudge factor of 2x, you're look at around $50 in tips. ~$200 is a typical day for Phil.


Edit: And Phil was using the best possible character for each game (at least up to Alpha 1, when I left) in addition to cheesing as often as possible. It was a trainwreck.

I don’t know if any other runs that he could do where he can find one move to break the AI with the best character in the game.

I watched a good amount of time watching today, and the temperature in chat was chilly at best. A good amount of the people in chat we’re letting him know how boring they thought it was, and as someone who has some experience (no 4th place evo unfortunately, but I understand frame data and strategy arguably more than Phil) his MASTER RUN CHALLENGE (tm) was not impressive whatsoever.

He’s boring on a good day, but today he was even more so. He didn’t even bother coming up with new excuses when his online excuses work just as good offline as well.

But he worked his ass off for soooooooo long.:stress:

A lot of what probably got the chat pissed was him neglecting them in a reptilian freeze of panic over "the detractors" and his shitty net. His excuse to hide his fear would come off as "fuck you, not paying attention" which doesn't help with attention whores. His ungrateful attitude was also worse than usual, which combined with the least interesting thing in the world (scrub out stale fighting games) made the chat for once tell him to go choke to death on some pasta.

Shame they'll go right back, but hey. Means more tards giving away their fun money to prop a miserable manchild who'll squander it all.

Rate me late for saying this but I didn't see it posted?

Apparently Comcast was having a nationwide outage problem. So Phil is really street smart with his business class internet.

Also, when he plays p5 again, I'm half expecting him to ironically not understand Kaneshiro (the fat, greedy, Yakuza guy, who sees everyone as a walking ATM who throws them away after they aren't of use)

He's not starting the game over, is he? Cause if not then he's WAY past Kaneshiro.
 
My favorite part of today was him on the same boss in one of the games for literally an hour while chat made fun of him and he bitched endlessly.

It was some quality salt until he eventually managed to exploit the ai into letting him (barely) win.
 
My favourite part of his stream last night was a pretty underrated moment, but it really highlights how petty Dave is. Dude took his second break just before playing Alpha 2, and said he would be gone for ten minutes.

Of course, twenty minutes later, he's still not back. Eventually he stumbled back onto the stream, and someone in his chat makes a sarcastic quip about that being "a long ten minutes". Dave proceeds to chew this dude out, say he's lying, and claim that he NEVER said he would be 10 minutes, but rather 15-20.

It was such a pathetic and tiny thing to get assmad over. He could've made any excuse (took a dump, jerking off) to say why he was a bit longer and nobody would care. Not Dave, he has to always be right, and you have to be wrong.

Not saying this is going to happen, but you would think a person who's "10 year legacy" includes two mod exoduses would have learned to treat volunteers a little better, but look who i'm talking about...

Can I just point out that right before blasting them, around 14 seconds, Phil appears to be checking his phone. This is something that has notably increased in the last few months, and he does it constantly whenever there is a lull. Then he looks into chat and blasts them for not interacting. Phil. Get off your fucking phone on stream.

I love that this incident happens 24 hours after chewing them out for trying to talk to him when he didn't want to 'interact', but I suspect that this blasting was actually not about them not talking to him. I think he was pissed about yesterday and pissed that they were dicking around today, and so was looking for a moment to go after them for anything. The fact that he started by typing in chat mid-stream (doesn't often do that while live), to then essentially repeat the same thing out loud right after... to me that's someone who is angry and decides mid-action that he wants to try to humiliate them even more by doing it out loud.

Also Drgnkiller mentioned that, as a result of his mods possibly deliberately dropping the ball, he re-modded Anonymouse/sauraus/cuck. Did anyone notice this? This is remarkably petty if it is true.

In addition, this fucker already got PAID in advance to do this marathon.
His paypigs gifted 20-30+ subs just to see this challenge happen, so Dave is the one who has to deliver and be entertaining.
But just like always, he finds the most boring way to cheese the AI and then blames his viewers for a boring stream.

This demanding begging though - "I can do it, but you better support me." I'm also not sure what has happened lately, but he has been putting a weird amount of emphasis on his Youtube vids and views again. Did ad revenue go up?

I don't understand how he is not getting this. If he wants to grow the stream, he needs to do stream stuff, which will not appeal to Youtube, and these precious Youtube viewers who can't watch stream do not appear overly loyal or anything. And if you're going to try to appeal to Youtube, then you need to start by admitting that your goal is to appeal to Youtube instead of calling it an 'archive channel' when it isn't actually a supplementary income. What are you trying to do here, Dave? Other than just 'be greedy'. Pick a strategy.
