The funniest thing to me is how she uses the symbol of the Church of Satan, the Sigil of Baphomet (which is not actually satanic), on her "hellgender" flags. The prophet Isaiah is actually just trash-talking Belshazzar/Nebuchadnezzar II and taunting him in the passage, referring to Belshazzar as "morning star, son of the dawn". Lucifer is not and has never been another name for Satan and neither a demon nor a fallen angel, which you would think someone would notice but I guess not.

You got it, fella. The fastest way to tell if someone seriously aligns themselves with Satan is to look and how well thought out their choice of representative symbols are. Usually you'll see it only indicating an alignment with left hand beliefs and nothing else, or even like you said, naming the wrong entity entirely.

I've always just accepted the whole "Lucifer was Satan's angelic name" thing because shit, there are about ten different ways to interpret "man shall not lie with man as he does with a woman" (the Leviticus fierce anti-gays use) when it's been suggested that it's a misinterpretation. Since women were almost exclusively considered little more than her father and husband's property, facet of the house, womb to bear children back then, the scripture could be taken not as "HOMOS BAD" and more "do not treat another man who is your equal as you would treat your wife (read: basically a combination dishwasher-vacuum).
Now I want to know what Satan's actual angelic name was. IIRC Satan may not be the actual "name" for his demonic form, just what humanity calls him (assuming that Beelzebub is just a demon under command). And AFAIK not only on earth but also on the "spiritual" plane it's very frowned upon if you use his angelic name to describe the satanic form (a legitimate example of what troons call deadnaming). It makes a lot of sense imo, you literally go from a perfect, immaculate being to the root of all evil and suffering over envy, hubris, and greed. You're damn right you don't deserve to be called by that pure name ever again.

Satan was never a fallen angel to begin with; that misleading information comes from another passage, specifically Ezekiel 28:11-19. It refers to the king of Tyre as a "cherub", but Christian groups misattributed it to Satan. Evangelical communities tend to disregard both the Isaiah and Ezekiel passages as having nothing to do with the fall of Satan from Heaven.

If you do your research, you will find that in the Quran and earlier iterations of the Bible, Al-Shaitan (Arabic name for THE Satan; shaitan refers to any adversarial force) is a (d)jinn named Iblis before he and the other jinns were cast out of Heaven. Jinns are regarded as intelligent spirits that are lesser in rank than angels in Arabic and Muslim mythos, which explains why he was in Heaven to begin with. IIRC, he was cast out because he refused to bow before the humans God created.

The other jinns were dumped onto Earth to do their thing and function similarly to the demons of Judeo-Christian faith. They are hot-heated, temperamental, aggressive tricksters who are proud among all else and love to lead humans into temptation through deception. While demons are said to bow to the will of Satan, jinns have no such leader and follow their own will.

I'd bet anything a lot of goths are very anti-true crime. Just like with the media blaming Marilyn Manson for school shootings, it does nothing but give a style a bad undeserved rap. "True crime" has been popular since the very beginning, just look at how popular law&order, my favorite murder, serial, and any type of 20/20 tv show is. For god's sake, thousands of people literally had a "Bundy BBQ" when they executed him. :powerlevel: But this is pretty accurate lol my mom is the biggest true crime fan ever and she’s a pretty typical southern housewife. Ironically enough, all of the goth people I know IRL are in it for the aesthetic mostly and care more about gothic culture than goth stereotypes. I know one chick who is the biggest anime fan and memelord ever but she’s probably the most goth person I’ve ever met in my life, and her aesthetic is actually really nice and well researched because she loves the history of gothic fashion.

There is actually a pretty rich culture for goth people but Steph does this with every facet of her personality; she takes the most annoying stereotypes of every culture she is supposedly a part of and integrates it into her own personality so that she can be interesting and quirky.
