Bob comes off like an absolute lunatic in these tweets. He would rather not have certain people fired solely for the sake of denying his opponents any sort of validation, whether they had anything to do with it or not. Never mind that ABC (a subdivision of Disney) fired Roseanne Barr for similarly crass statements (which the left cheered on), or that if Kathleen Kennedy does get fired, it will ultimately be due to Disney execs' dissatisfaction with the financial performance of the Star Wars franchise as of late, Bob would rather throw any semblance of logic out the window just to spite his perceived enemies. And that is the mark of a truly pathetic human being.
That's what I take from this. Bob is not disappointed that James Gunn might very well be a creep (it could go the other way too, but the sheer number of "jokes" about kids and sex is unsettling, to say the least). He's not pissed at Disney for not doing their due diligence in making sure this guy was suitable for making middlebrow popcorn family entertainment (he got his start at Troma; of course he wasn't). He's not pissed at Gunn for being stupid enough to leave those tweets to fester for years, even when he started tangling with political arguments online that were sure to draw the attention of lunatics like Cernovich. He's not even intellectually honest enough to be upset that it's this easy to destroy anyone's career for saying stupid shit online, regardless of politics.
Nope. He's just furious -- and he is; this is as ass-aching as I've ever seen him -- that those dang Mayonnaise Ghoul Goobergape Inferior Trolls got a win.
That's it. That's all he takes from this.
