Butch Hartman / Elmer Earl "Butch" Hartman IV / @realhartman / OAXIS Entertainment - "I created your childhood and scammed people into funding my Christian Netflix"

I think the OAXIS stuff may be enough for a thread on it's on as it goes on. My understanding is that on top of being a netflix equivelant the "plan" was also to have a heavily moderated youtube clone for "clean" videos and also an old school AOL network style network of internet sites separated from the world wide web. He expected people to believe that he could start that for a quarter million dollars?

-EDIT- after seeing some of the stuff that was posted while I was typing I kind of wonder if it's possible that Butch isn't a scam artist like I thought, but instead a huge fucking sped who thinks he can actually do it. I rely get the Cooking With Jack "things I don't like/understand happen in the world and it's all because the gays and atheists are destroying civilization" vibe off of Butch too, and you kind of have to be a dumb fuck to think like Jack.

Well now, I have an opportunity to post this:
It's less about Hartman himself and more about his followers crying ableism for daring to say that artists should practice often. I was hoping for a thread for these people, I didn't count on him being a (potential) lolcow myself.

Just watched the part where he says he "surreptitiously" includes Christian values and parables in his work to get his message across, and that he tries to keep his faith on the dl so that'll be easier to slip past people's defenses and slowly convert them.

Doesn't this type of shit go directly against the religion he wants to promote? I actually have a background in Catholic education, and I was taught that the Bible instructs you to always preach the truth of Christ, as those who would reject the truth are not real followers. Pragmatically denying faith in order to "infiltrate the ranks" or even to save your own ass is something that is directly frowned upon, as evidenced by when Peter despaired over fulfilling Jesus's prediction that he would deny their relationship three times before the night's end. Although, I guess it shouldn't be surprising that none of these people can actually live up to the impossible standards that they claim as ideal.

@waffle I believe the majority of the funding is likely to come from Christian organizations, who as I said earlier are easily swayed into supporting this type of shit (see the "God's Not Dead" trilogy and the depressing amount of people that actually payed money to see such hyper-victimhood propaganda). The kickstarter was likely just made to scam pathetic nostalfags that idolize him out of as much extra money as he could.

He's a cow on the merits of this alone, nevermind the kickstarter scam adventures. At least Danny Phantom never got male pregnancy, otherwise his insistence that Dan isn't a tranny phantom would just look silly.

A lot of people who say Butch hasn’t done enough to justify a thread aren’t looking forward into the future. You really think Oaxis is just going to go smoothly, as planned? I predict a chimp out in the near future. Go into the comments section of anything he’s posted recently, there’s tons of people getting angry at him, and these types almost always crack under the pressure.

Edit: these all came from newsletter emails that, up until the Oaxis announcement, were advertising online art classes hosted by Butch.

The pic featured there isn't even fanart, it was a moment from the actual show, in an episode where Danny and Tucker both fall asleep during a stakeout (found the wiki page for it, which features the picture http://dannyphantom.wikia.com/wiki/One_of_a_Kind)

If he didn't want fans shipping his characters this way, maybe he shouldn't have teased it himself. Granted this was made well before Tumblr and he likely didn't know any better, but still.
