I ran across a video of someone unboxing their medallion labeled as #25 tonight so I guess they're making their way around slowly.

That's me! I finally decided to make an account because I really wanted to see that Yawning Squirtle. It was worth it.

I had said this in the video, but I am really stoked that Chris finally decided to just up and sell Sonichu stuff so he can finally make money off of his creation. I really should have opted for a custom medallion, but owning a genuine Sonichu is an honor in and of itself. It's like owning an original John Wayne Gacy painting, but way cheaper and with less serial murderer attached to it.

I love it. I've been waiting for this to happen for almost seven years and he finally made them available to his True and Loyal fans.

Now, if only he could lower the prices on those commissions...

Why can't OPL just type and print the maintenance instructions instead since he seems to be able to print his certificates of authenticity? That's a lot of writing he must do.

Chris has always seen handwriting as more "authentic" and "heartfelt" than typing. It signifies that your true and honest emotions are behind what is written. He has handwritten letters to the President of the United States and Shigeru Miyamoto. He thinks that they will be given more, not less, attention because of this. I think this also explains his complaint that Alec Benson Leary was using computer thingys (I actually don't know how to do art on the computer) instead of physical pens and markers to make Asperchu. Handwriting automatically imbues the product with more quality. I wonder if perhaps Chris sees this as a mystical issue, that part of his heart and soul is magically transferred to the writing via the personal handwriting.

Hah, I saw a post of yours and thought your avatar was neat, it was starting to remind me of someone, then it clicked when I saw the video, I've been following your art on/off since you were Seaweedprincess, haha I had no idea you were a Christorian but it makes sense. Nice to see you around!


EDIT: For content, something that I did mean to ask when I saw the video, is it possible that your medallion was rushed like the others (or just due to general Chris incompetence) and the clay was still fresh? has the bendinesss improved any since then? Though it does look super thin, was his original one this thin?

Hmmmm.
If the original Sonichu medallion is made of the same Crayola Model Fucking Magic, and is as "flimsy and delicate" as the one he shipped to catbounty...then I wonder how many times the "original" medallion broke or had to be replaced.

Replaced? Probably very few times. I've got it from a good source that Krazy Glue works wonders.

I've been following Chris since his ED article was first featured on the front page back in November 2007. It's been one hell of a ride. And shucks, that means a lot. Thanks, bro.

Maybe it'll be slower, like Jeff Goldblum's transformation in The Fly. If I get the urge to start wearing ill-fitting rugby shirts, I will know it's too late.
