I JUST made the damn thread for the shill stream before I saw this, too. I'm just seriously tired of this. Tired of being jerked around and mistreated and having absolutely no recourse or defence against it. (:_(

Even your fucking polls usually end up with you saying they were rigged by detractors, that's not a healthy mental behavior. This is my criticism, and it's on the very basics of you as a content creator to an audience. Use it.

A lot of people here have been sort of giving Nich some credit lately. I was one of them. Until Bhil and TXT read some answers to questions they sent Nich yesterday on their stream. That’s when you realize just how deep the brainwashing goes.

One of my favorite answers went something to the tune of “Phil doesn’t lie, sometimes he just lies”. Not kidding. This was a legit response (worded in a slightly more exceptional way). And apparently according to Nich, giving Phil a few hundred dollars isn’t a lot of money. He also says he thinks Phil makes around $7000 a month.

So I’m done giving this ignoramus any further credit. He’s stuck in the tunnel and sees the light at the end and choose to camp out in the middle.

Making fun of DSRee is my only formal exposure to "stream culture" (lol, such as he is). I can't last in his streams past 5m unless he's ragepissing himself. I can stomach Cosmo Wright for about 12 seconds a week. That's really it. I only created a Twitch account so I could witness more trashfires in realtime alongside some of the threads I like to follow here.

Why it's fun to watch someone else play video games.. I honestly don't get it. That's not an indictment of the subculture or anything.. it's just over my head. You guys do you, I'll just lurk to catch a good dumpster fire in the rain every now & then.

That was my years-long opinion until a couple weeks ago.

Imagine my shock & amazement when another kiwi introduced Joel from Vinesauce into my life. I. Am. Fucking. Hooked.

If you're aware of him, you probably already love him. This guy can make anything enjoyable to watch. He could read the NASDAQ stats on stream, and I would fucking watch it. He's engaging, humble, filthy funny, gracious, creative as fuck, contagiously high-energy, constantly innovating & trying new things, makes fun of himself.. He's Swedish & speaks better English than I do.

I get it now. I totally fucking get it. I'm all in with you guys now. I finally see what makes this stuff fun. It's just I've been playing anthropologist in the sewer end of the scene for so long, I never realized that there's an inverse to it.

This revelation has really re-framed this whole DSPlanet for me.

What a miserable fucking experience a person subjects themself to by voluntarily filling their visual & auditory sensibilities with that bitchy, dumpy, grey-skinned ghoulish Baby Huey every day. Sometimes even paying him for the privilege. It never made sense to me in the first place, but now that I know what good streaming actually is, just makes his continual (albeit bottomfeeding) survival all the more mystical to me. The canyon of differences between these guys.. it really begs a lot of fucking questions. It's a waste of time to delve into any more of them, but I can tell you I've been watching this Swedish cat's content every day for 2-3 weeks now, and I will happily subscribe to him & throw him a few bucks for no reason other than I just really appreciate people who can make me laugh.

(All that said, if anyone got this far down in this DSPreStreem-length spoiler post, and you have any suggestions for streamers that just tickle ur pink bitz, PM my ass won't you please. I thrive on entertaining background noise & I have this new internet toy that I finally know how to use for something other than laughing at grim parades of human tragedy in realtime.) :)

This is why I don't want his career to end with one big moment. I like watching him flail around refusing to make positive changes that require work. Or honesty. Or humility. Hell, Phil is such a whiny pantload of shit, that if he was offered a reasonable out, he would refuse because he wants to live in his empty house and drink gin. I'm hoping for many more years of the adventures of Oldman Phil and his cult of autistic paypigs.

-Attacking criticism by saying that his detractors are childish/immature/dumb kids, etc.
-Giving a canned answer when someone asks a question about his finances, job opportunities outside of playing games, or advises him to sell some of his unneeded possessions for money.
-Talking about how dumb Youtube is and how they are all incompetent fools.
-Claiming that he's "improved as a person" over the years and so that's why you should give him money.

Reveals he has a spare PC in his closet. This PC is, however too old to doing anything and " doesn't have a dedicated graphics card". What did he buy this PC to do? Why ship it all the way to Seattle?
