His begging page is pretty funny. We’re broke and my wife is going to die if we don’t get her meds, but also they bought a cat on a payment plan.
This couple are FULL lolcows and deserve a thread.
How much do they deserve a thread?
Well, to start with, by "meds" the wife will totally die within
hours without, they mean "support our pot habit, which we stopped my wife's blood pressure medication to take up."
At the end of these two years, she was taken off the synthetic blood pressure medication (which removed the type 2 diabetes symptoms), and put on medical cannabis. It took another year to find the exact right dosage – but unlike when she was on the BP meds, she didn’t have any further TIAs or strokes (her current count is 18 TIAs and 3 full strokes) when on the cannabis, and her blood pressure and mood were controlled. The cannabis also helped regulate the emotional issues such as anxiety and social issues she was having due to the brain damage.
The down side being that cannabis is NOT covered by any insurance, least of all the ACA insurance that we both have right now. Her meds cost me $100 a week ($103 with ATM withdrawl fees) just to make sure she has them. And due to this lack of money, several times in the last year she’s been forced to skip a day or two of medication and each time this has resulted in another TIA.
This is ridiculous nonsense. Marijuana does not lower blood pressure. It raises it. "My wife will have a heart attack if we don't get pot and has had one every time we didn't smoke for a day or two" probably translates to "she had minor withdrawal symptoms and a panic attack and we decided without going to the hospital that it was totally another heart attack."
They are spending $175/week on pot. He (CORRECTION: she, this is a woman who uses dysphoria as an excuse to never do work, a la Colt Seidman) also claims his wife literally cannot bend over because she could have another heart attack from doing so. He says taking showers is a 3 hour ordeal that makes him too exhausted to clean the tub after. The wife is currently seeing her aunt (a "naturopath") for her "treatment," and she "starts having stroke symptoms whenever she gets emotional." He has been nearly continuously ebegging that his wife is within hours of death without her "anti-stroke meds" with shocking regularity, every week or two since the end of 2016.
The disease he claims his wife has doesn't actually have the impact he claims it does, and their Medi-Cal coverage would completely cover the surgery that it would actually take to make someone better with Cushing's, but odds are she doesn't have it. In fact, if she does have high blood pressure, it's likely caused by routine administration of THC, and that could also explain the headaches and feeling anxious all the time. It's amazing how many lolcows think their incredibly common obesity-related ailments are super special syndromes.
At the end of the day, the disease claimed isn't really relevant, it's just something to claim to the medically uneducated to get more weed in the stash box.
