ebay automatically juices the paypal for the money by a set date if you don't make a one-time payment.
If there's not enough there it will overflow as a charge to bank/ credit card/ or whatever you have linked to paypal.

I never really thought about it since I generally pay my dues, but could this overdraft a bank account?

We don't really know where the money is going, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt and not assume he spent all on Lego, but still, Chris and Money is even worse than the mythical accounts of the cwcki make it out to be. I guess after these last few weeks we can totally rewrite that specific article and kick the one titled "Chris and Reality" since there simply is no connection between the two things.

I have to say, the timing is incredibly bad as well (obviously not OPL's fault, though). It's only Octobre the 9th so it'll take quite some time until the tugboat makes the next round. I guess Chris is up brine creek without a paddle unless someone buys something from his stuff.

You don't have to have your Paypal payments set as automatic. Mine are all set to manual, which is why I got slapped with some late fees last year because I just plumb forgot about it. My Paypal is linked to my checking account and never once has eBay dipped into my checking, even when I was late. It all depends on how you set it up.

Word of advice : 8chan doesn't really have the inside scoop in regards to anything related to Chris, all they have is wild and insane conspiracy theories about the actual state of events, there are extremely few who are "in the know" of what's happening with Chris and his girlfriend and if they're not willing to share, everything is just pure speculation.
Not saying that the speculation on this forum > speculation on 8chan but since Christorical figures can't be relied upon to give a 100% full and honest disclosure on all of their available information, it's unlikely to know the true state of things unless you happen to know Chris or his girlfriend personally.

Would explain his recent determination to make a lot of money

He bought a new car recently(a topic that is now locked) so that he and his mother could get around town so that definitely contributes to his money troubles. I'm sure that he wants to buy things for his girlfriend too, but that's probably completely dwarfed by the amount of money he needs to to cover his new car.

Chris asking/begging for money isn't new. Chris begging for an outrageous amount of money for something that's not worth that much and in cash only? That... seems fishy.

Depending on how your checking account is set up, eBay fees could send your account into overdraft. I've always had enough to cover my fees in PayPal so I don't know how to set it up to avoid that.

The caddy has the cracked block, and is a steal at $5,000. As it $5,000 stolen from whomever pays that price for a car worth about 5% the asking price.

I saw a car of that exact make and model go for $10,000 once. It was a custom job though, with a completely overhauled engine and interior.

I really wonder how the hell he and/or barb came to the conclusion that it was worth $15,000.

True, but automatic is the default setting - I'm not sure Chris would have bothered/remembered/known how to change that.

I wonder how much the Chandlers could get if they brought it to a dealership. It might be a more immediate (if not more realistic) way to get some much needed funds from selling the BMW.

Dealership would probably give $2,000 on it and send it straight to auction.
