The more I hear the DNC and other gated community upperclass liberals clamoring for war with Russia, the more I kinda sorta wish we should style our military after the ancient Greeks: you will not be eligible to run for public office until you've served a certain amount of years in the military and you have to buy your own weapons with your own money as opposed to staying fat and safe at home just so you can waddle into the bomb shelter when shit hits the fan.

Hell, seeing what like of money half of these people make, they can just about buy their own goddamn tanks

So apparently during a cabinet meeting Trump said “I want to begin today by expressing my condolences to the family of a person I knew well, she worked for me on numerous occasions. She was terrific—Aretha Franklin—on her passing. She brought joy to millions of lives and her extraordinary legacy will thrive and inspire many generations to come.”

This also spurred numerous articles calling him insensitive, "blah blah blah MAH DRUMPF!!!", over the fact that he said she worked for him on numerous occasions. Here's a link to the article that I read during my morning coffee before work.

I'm honestly okay with the way these idiots react. The fact that they're irrational and don't care about anything but being violent, filled with unstable rage, and are dedicated to not giving a fuck that the country is bouncing back because the media told them the Two Minute Hate was now permanent are just guaranteeing four more years of Trump and another massive salt delivery.

It's just hilarious to me how out of touch these people are with the actual feelings of the majority.

Oh I agree. Pardon the power leveling here, but I just have a personal peeve against stuff like that. Dehumanizing and attacking people who are legitimately being kind, trying to make progress and improvement, and generally doing what they're supposed to be doing just irks me a bit.

Beyond that mild anger though, I do laugh at it all. And I hope that he does get four more years. Part of it's not just the hilarity, but the curiosity. I want to see how far it can go. How utterly outlandish, childish, and out of touch with reality this can become.

To make a crossover here, it's kind of like a much larger scale ResetEra(a reason I actively watch that thread too), where I just keep looking at that forum and asking myself "How far are they gonna go? They just keep going and going even though they crossed the line a long time ago. How much crazier can this become?"

I've expressed this in private chats before, but sometimes I see politics as less a serious thing these days and more as a rodeo show to hoot and holler at and enjoy.

No really, it's fascinating to me that these assholes just go on television, espouse whatever accusations and labels onto whoever they want, and then move right on past the stage of giving any kind of information or evidence to support aforementioned accusations and labels, directly into disavowal and scorn.
