I don't know jack shit about all this new SAT mess, but I think the ACT has remained pretty constant. What I've found states that UConn "regularly" accepts students with an ACT score of 26 or above. The maximum score for the ACT is 36.

Now, if DSP was really a "jock" he would have done better on the ACT than the SAT as the stereotype was that the ACT stood for "Athletic Competence Test" since jocks/athletes tended to perform better on the ACT than the SAT. Which was true in my case, but I think these days it's evened out a bit.

"New SAT" basically means that they removed the Writing subject and sort of merged it with Critical Reading. Math has also been made slightly more difficult and requires more reading than previously. If you're around the same age as Phil, they basically turned it back to the old CR+Math composite score of 1400 instead of CR+Math+Writing composite score of 2400. ACT is just generally easier than the SAT and I don't think they've changed it since I took it. I don't want to make fun of anyone, but 26 on the ACT is really easy to get with minimal prep. If I want to take Ohio State University as an example, you won't get any scholarships until you hit at least a 32.

We also don't know if Phil's GPA is unweighted or weighted. If it's a weighted 4.0, he could have just taken a lot of AP courses which are weighted on a 5.0 scale, so it would be all Bs instead of all As. It's more impressive if it was unweighted, indicating that he has never got anything below an A during all 4 years of high school. Maybe he did peak in high school, but I refuse to believe that a "jock" like him ever did.

It's also bad to stereotype people, but you can just tell from Phil's behavior and attitude that he isn't ivy league material. Not just in videogame incompetence, but his general laziness. Unless your last name is Bush and 2 of your relatives were US Presidents, you can't be that lazy and get into Yale.

I don't know why he lied about college admissions like that. Only like 1% of the 1% get into them and there's absolutely zero shame in getting rejected from one, yet he acts like the detractors over at Yale's Office of Admissions were out to get him specifically because he's white and poor, while on the contrary there is still a white majority in all of these Ivy League schools. Ivy Leagues also have excellent scholarship programs to accommodate said poor people, mostly because so many fucking rich people graduate from them that they have a ton of funds, so him being poor doesn't excuse him from thinking it's like the 1800s where only the gentry could afford to get in as long as his application was actually good.

Unless he's said something different, it was supposedly coming on Friday, but he didn't have a tracking number. And I don't think he's said anything since then (and you know it would probably have been put up on his Twitter if it arrived yesterday [Saturday]).

You need to use a little bit of street smarts to figure this one out.

In one of the Jackie Chin parody DSP Tries It videos he reviews a salad. Since this is a detractor video it must be a lie and fast food salads do not exist.

No surprise there coming from the same guy who messed up prepping basic cup noodles. This is another one of those moments where he’d be more entertaining if he just embraced his suckiness. In this case he could record himself spectacularly ruining recipes and dishes due to his incompetence for some cheap laughs, but we all know he’s too prideful to ever let that happen.
