guys, stereotyping the pure homos is uber homophobicWhat is it with these people being joyless sacks and trying to politicize everything and trying to make everyone feel bad about themselves?
Also, calling a character "bisexual" or "gay" just because they have rather odd mannerisms is kinda sexist and discriminatory in of itself. I like how these people don't see their own hypocrisy.
I think they get it from Wikipedia. Articles like Ursula, Scar and other Disney villains/characters used to have them listed as "LGBTQIA Icons" (not sure if they still do but I wouldn't be surprised) and the references/citations they used to verify this as valid in articles was some shitty generic top 10 lists on gay sites. As wrong as this person is even if their character assumptions were right- Scar is far from effeminate or gay?? How are they pulling this shit out of their ass? There was literally a scene cut where he borderline tries to rape Nala.

As I remember The Lion King, everything is fine with the "lighter-skinned" lions running the pride lands, but as soon as they hand leadership over to the previously subjugated "black" lion, he gave all of his unqualified buddies positions of power, and things quickly deteriorated to shit to the point where even the grass (crops) stopped growing.
So it's based on Zimbabwe but with a happy ending instead?
I feel like I've heard that story somewhere else before, but I kind of tuned out around the part where the black lion and his buddies started taking the lighter-skinned lion's homes without compensating them.
Seriously though, it's a shame that people on the other side of the isle don't typically buy into *this* particular kind of bullshit the same way. I already have a "The lion King is totally an allegory for apartheid," article halfway written in my head.
Here's the dipshit's bio:
Disastrous Grape is from a dimension of sentient exploding fruit. She has written several science fiction and fantasy novels by typing with her stems. She also enjoys looking at movies, then talking about them. Her bachelor's degree is in English Literature, and she lives with three dogs and a turtle.
It would seem AshGray is a nomdeplume that this dumbass uses for this site. The other three articles she's written are standard feminist texts: Beauty and the Beast is Stockholme Syndrome, Bugs Life is colonialism and The Lion King is racist. All we need now is an article about Mulan being the Greatest Princess Evah and our Circle of Shit will be complete (As an aside, I am quite happy that these dipshits have not touched Oliver and Company! Or the Brave Little Toaster.)
I really didn't notice I messed up the formatting that bad(You probably could have formatted that better)... But yeah, that was kind of where I was going with that... That, and post-colonial Africa in general.
Lol she can't even spell his name right"The only thing worse than rebellion is the thing that causes rebellion."

That's a bit like saying Cheech & Chong and the Three Stooges were porking. Now if you want actual gay reps in Lion King to use in case you get into an argument, Nathan Lane (Timon's VA) was gay and was part of an anti-AIDS activist health group (and I always find it odd how no one ever counts the actors as reps) and I recall the Lion King cartoon series from the 90s implied Zazu was gay too. Also, I always find it odd how beloved Scar is as an "LGBTQIABBQ cartoon icon" rather than Timon's VA despite that Scar's VA said some pretty triggering things in the past. I mean, you'd think people who write articles like this would be more triggered by that rather than non-existent racism in a movie about african animals. And if they ever want to bring up gay representation in Lion King in the future, they should just talk about Timon and Pumbaa. We all know those two are totally porking each other off-screen.
