I love that she used her healthy habits journal as a tray for her binge meal. Peak irony!
Btw, guys, I'm on this new diet where I gorge myself on McDonalds once a day while leading a sedentary life. Wish me luck!!
Edit: Her plates are hideous, they look like her mother's hand-me-downs to tide her and Bibi over when they first moved into a new apartment and had no kitchenware. Ugly 70s aesthetics.
Everything in her apartment looks cheap and tacky. It has nothing to do with money, it’s just she doesn’t care about anything other than food. Thoughts of anything else besides killing time inbetween fast food binges don't cross her mind.
Even though food is her entire life she doesn't even give a second thought about the plates she eats it on nor where she eats it. Her favorite foods are served in disposable paper so she's not accustomed to food that's plated. The good stuff comes in paper and plastic. Most of her eating takes place behind the wheel of her tiny car. It really is only about eating mass quantities of food - absolutely nothing else matters besides stuffing that grease and fat down her gullet as fast as possible.
If Chantal was actually doing OMAD and you offered her a small lean meal prepared by the finest Michelin rated chef in an elegant restaurant with a sweeping view of Paris or an all you can eat giant feedbag of processed beef and cheesy fries from Arby's served in her car parked next to a dumpster - she'd take the binge at Arby's in her car every time.
