These transitions are always slow, for me, I hope Jim starts to do actual content that isn't IBS/Skeptic drama or Ian Miles Cheong regurgitated commentary.

Jim for all his faults is a talented content creator and an influence on how I make my long form written content here. I really hope he has enough self-reflection to know a pitfall when he sees it.

My personal theory is that Jim is dying and he's just trying to make some bank for his kid and Jade before he goes. I'm not even kidding, being in the hospital for 2 weeks isn't a joke. He actually (maybe jokingly) said on Ralph's stream "I'm going to pay for my kid's college calling sargon a retard"

I wanted to bring something similar up about Sargon earlier. Back when Sargon first started his channel, back when he was anonymous, he used to put out very different and unfiltered content. His content used to consist of edgy /pol/ memes, he was extremely sympathetic to the alt-right as it stood at that time, he called feminists cunts, talked kikes ect. From the moment he got doxxed that all went out the window and all of a sudden he changed his content and beliefs. I'm sure if Sargon never got famous on YouTube he would have very different political beliefs, probably to the right because as soon as a YouTuber gets monetized or doxxed it seems the audience or social pressure begins to steer the ship.

Actually the best outcome from all this lunacy would be if UKIP came out and said "Yeah, Carl did call a bunch of Alt Right types 'white niggers' in a stream. He was mocking their claims of racial supremacy. Online rhetoric has different rules to offline rhetoric. Don't like it, don't watch it"

Because at that point old Carl would actually have made a difference.

It's because when you get doxxed, your life doesn't end, they just become as responsible for their online life as they are for the IRL side of things, people have a way to track you down if they feel you wronged them with your content, you suddenly have to be a "grown-up" both offline and online. As such, this softening of tone isn't something I can blame Sargon for.

It's far easier to just bring up the fact that he thinks taunting people about owning suits is actual bantz, or the fact that he got so smug after addressing some EU meeting that no one went to..etc, and all this shit I actually learned today, I never really read this thread, maybe I should. :story:

IBS are for those 2. I said that Sargon is a dad so he has a slight edge. Let me rephrase since my point is getting lost. Parenthood makes you grow up. It doesn't make you smarter or nicer. But look at the cows on this board. Most of them are single and childless. Sargon would be much worse if he wasn't responsible for someone else. Whatever Metokur's reasons for not having children, it would shift at least the the tone of his videos if he did.
