His attitude is pretty much all that kept this idiot faggots out of kernel development. (and therefore this stupid crap out of the kernel) That being said, some of his rants were pretty autistic and mental sometimes. If he calms down and finds a bit of professional distance sometimes that might not be the worst thing, especially for himself in regards of burning out, as being professionally angry costs a lot of energy, often for no good gain. From how I've known and seem him over all these years, there won't be any dramatic change, he's a pragmatist to the core. He also got some good people around him. I wouldn't worry about the sky falling in linuxland just yet.

Others are feeling powerless since their favorite OS has been taken over now, compared to just a programming language here or there or some project that's bloated.

Oh god, this fucker. He's the reason I don't browse /tech/ anymore. He derails every single thread by spamming it with "blackpills" about how ZOG/Google has won and we all need to kill ourselves because we've lost forever.
That said, I'm pretty sure I could make a more compelling argument for using time travel to prevent the existence of Coraline Ada than I could for preventing the existence of Adolf Hitler.
Edit to avoid double-post: The solution here is to subvert from within, not to flee to another OS. Use their tactics against them.

The only way "use their tactics" is to archive all the insane shit these SJWs say. Maybe one day it will actually matter, like for James Gunn.
Despite the very public, archived and documented #KillAllMen rhetoric from people like Ashley Williams, CoCs will not be enforced upon them, in fact they'll get promotions. You can even see this with Sarah Jeong getting hired at New York Times.
For now, they can do whatever they want, say whatever they want, and their demands will be catered too.
The one silver lining is that this is a reduced/older version of the Contributor Covenant. It doesn't include the newer rules where it essentially states that it cannot be used against women or "minorities".

There's one main guy on /tech/ whose identifying posting style is that he types exclusively in bold red text until he gets called out and then tries to pretend to be other people by typing with normal text. He does this with nearly every thread on /tech/, so I don't think it's a stretch to say that he posts on /g/ as well. More easily influenced people go along with it because he sounds authoritative. Personally I think he should be banned because fatalism is very unproductive.
I know it can't be used against them now, but these people won't be on top of the progressive stack forever. You just have to wait it out until they're vulnerable to their own side. In the meantime, I'm caught between encouraging actually competent coders to either continue working so Linux remains viable or to starve the troons of commits.

Well that's fucked up then, I take it back. I guess it's not a big surprise that all these projects are overrun by these faggots considering the tech world is full of them.
The OpenBSD guy sadly is completely nuts and the big problem I personally had with it when checking it out is that it's somehow a lot like Gentoo but kinda worse and it also supports a lot less stuff hardware-wise. I'm not even talking some weird ARM board or other, no even pretty mainstream AMD64 (or however it is called like at this moment) junk, also especially when it comes to graphics. There's not really a good alternative to Linux still.
