  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.

Yep, seems to be stable for now.

Also, can someone security minded clarify how much of a risk maximising a tor window is please. Is it a "theoretically this could happen" risk or "just don't do it" risk?

It's pretty theoretical.

It might come into play if you're accessing multiple websites with it and they're collaborating to track you. Just the fact you're using tor by itself will be visible to any site you access, because your requests will come from a TOR exit node (unless you use a VPN or other proxy after TOR) and the fact you're using tor will be visible to your ISP (unless you use a VPN or other proxy before TOR).

So using TOR + your monitor size could be used to identify that you're the same person, especially if it's an unusual size.

I wouldn't worry about it. Or resize by hand rather than maximizing it, so it isn't always the same size.

I would assume that most Tor browsers, or regular browsers in Tor mode, would prevent most obvious methods of fingerprinting.
Hell, the easy way to do it is probably to just lie and say you're Chrome on a Macbook.

Tor is surprisingly easy to use. The hardest part for me was figuring out how to obtain the .onion URL with the clearnet site being down.
Really? I just googled "Kiwi farms onion link" and found the .onion link on the second page straight through Google without even needing do any work really lol.

I ended up getting it from a Google cached version of this very thread, actually. But I wanted to make sure the link I was getting was legit. It wouldn't surprise me if there were fake ones out there.

I was wondering why the site was down earlier.

Tried getting on, got nothing but various error messages and now I know why that was.

Considering how temporary each site blackout is, I wonder when they’ll just up and quit.

I wonder just how much they're willing to spend on this. I'm sure there are plenty of people who'll donate once or twice in the hope of taking us down, but I'm not so sure there are a lot who are willing to donate to fund daily attacks over a period of many months.

Thaey can't keep this up forever and so far they managed to, at best, make viewing this place hard a few hours each day.

If that's all, then lol, whatever.

Honestly, all it tells me is they are so pathetically assblasted this is the best they can do to spite us, and I mock them for it.

How many cows pooling their shekels and SSI checks did it take to hire a shitty foreign ddos kiddie who can’t even manage to keep the site down for more than 10-15 minutes at a time.

This site lists the most common User-Agent strings.

Currently it's Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.106 Safari/537.36 with 18.5% of all occurrences.

I thought it was kind of odd too so I asked @Marvin about that earlier and he said it might be due to monitor size being usable to confirm whether you were using a phone, tablet, or desktop in court situation. Probably only matters if you are using tor to commit grimes though. Not sure lolcow watching qualifies really

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the FBI has better things to do than spy on/investigate people on a gossip forum. Like, you know, all of the child-raping cunts and drug lords.

Also, the site was down during my break at work today so I didn't get my lolcow dopamine hit until after work, thanks a lot terrorists (:_(
